Title: Clock right??

hope4today - April 26, 2007 01:06 AM (GMT)
I'm confused. The new clock is great but it is currently saying that you are only an hour behind me and Iknow that you guys are much further behind us than that. I thought you were at least 12 hours behind.

It is 9:05 am Thursday morning 26th here and I would have expected it to be Wed night 25th in the States. :dunno:

And if it is late Wed night there you won't get this till morning by which time it will be night here  :wall:

Clay, can I try and figure this out next time we are on line at the same time?

You posted this at my 7:06 an I am central time, it's now 8:30 Wed night here so..... yup, looks like what? 14 hours different from me to you?

Addicted2~Jesus - April 26, 2007 01:31 AM (GMT)
cept... fhl jes said I posted this at 7:30... but believe me... it is 8:30... hmm, I havta check my settins I spose.

lol it's soooo confusing

and the new clock is telling me that it is7:59am Thurs CST and I don't think that can be. It has to be still Wed night there :dunno:

andiesmama - April 26, 2007 02:12 AM (GMT)
It's 2 hours behind me, but it's CST, I'm EST so it should only be one hour behind me......right........ :dunno: :faint:

clayman - April 26, 2007 05:21 AM (GMT)
OK - I found the problem. I tried to adjust it for CST since I'm in CST B)

Didn't work. :(

So, I un-adjusted it for EST. I don't know if it will adjust for daylight time. Is this a concern? I won't get on my :soapbox: about daylight savings time... :ticked:

The first time I looked at it, it was two hours behind my CST, too. Now the time is correct, but it says EST......??? That's screwey..

andiesmama - April 26, 2007 11:00 AM (GMT)
It's right for me.....6:59 EST....I'm EST.... B)

hope4today - April 26, 2007 11:19 AM (GMT)
OK Now that someone else is on line I can check it better. The clock says it's Thurs 26th 7:15pm EST but that is my time. Shouldn't it be saying your time or is it automatically adjusting for where I live.

Hey maybe that's it. IF I go adjust my time to put your time zone maybe that will fix it for me.

Off I go to check

hope4today - April 26, 2007 11:25 AM (GMT)
:wall: :wall: Nope, the clock is still saying my time. It's telling me my last sign in at your time but the clock is at my time (but still saying EST) :screwy:

:dunno:

Stringaling - April 26, 2007 11:32 AM (GMT)
So its giving us all our own correct time, but also telling us that it is EST...??

Stringaling - April 26, 2007 11:34 AM (GMT)
What if we all set our personal time settings to one, agreed upon, FHL standard??

hope4today - April 26, 2007 11:38 AM (GMT)
Well I've decided I'm going to leave my board setting at EST time so that my posts will be at your time and I can figure out that way what the time is over there and just leave the clock saying my time unless or until something can be done to keep that clock at the correct EST.

As String suggested if we all put our board time to EST then all our posts will be timed centrally for FHL

Hope that makes sense.

The script says "EST". But I see that it's showing me CST as well. OK - back to work. This clock script sucks. :wall:
