Title: Bikini Season
Honey - April 7, 2007 09:24 PM (GMT)
Why or why not?
***And no, tankinis are NOT the same and does not count!! ***
amyroo - April 7, 2007 09:36 PM (GMT)
Well, for one, I wouldn't wear one because of the modesty factor. For two, I don't have the body for it anymore (especially at this particular moment).
andiesmama - April 7, 2007 09:46 PM (GMT)
I voted no but would if I could wear one with a little skirt....I'm more comfortable with my tummy than I am with my thighs...

aaaaaaaaaaggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh
I was going to answer tankini.
Yes, I'd wear a bikini - but it would be my last choice. I do prefer a tankini though.

Hey, I think pregnant women in bikinis look cute!

I said no just 'cos i don't have one any more. I don't really have the figure for it. I have to admit to a rather round and soft belly.
But I would wear a tankini or a bikini that covers the belly. I had one of those a couple of years ago.
In some ways I prefer a bikini 'cos they give more shape around the boobs so give a better look to the figure if the belly is covered.

My **new** favorite is the SKIRTINI...
It's a tankini with the attached little skirt. Kinda looks like a tennis outfit.

Now THAT sounds like something that I'd DEFINITELY be interested in...

My first pregnancy ruined my stomach. I mean I got stretch marks so bad that there literally isn't even a centimeter of non-stretch marked skin anywhere on my stomache till about four inches above my belly button. Skin is stretched out so bad abd hangs loose on my body. Looks like I got a big gut hanging over my pants when it is really just skin. I weigh in the 130's but my belly looks ferociou8s and nasty and horrid because of the way the skin hangs..... :puke:

Target carries them. I bought 2 last year...

Nah, my baby girl gave me the most amazing stretch marks across my tummy. No bikini for me!
sf49erfan - April 11, 2007 01:44 PM (GMT)
Would you all wear one if your husband asked you to?
Stringaling - April 11, 2007 01:52 PM (GMT)
My husband knows that my skin is not a pretty sight to see because of the damage from pregnancy. He hasn't said so but he hasn't disagreed with me when I say so, wich is the same as agreeing with me. He wouldn't ask....
Honey - April 11, 2007 01:58 PM (GMT)
I asked my hubby the other day if my body is "bikini ready" and he honestly said no. He wouldn't ask me to wear one if my body wasn't "ready" to him.
Stringaling - April 11, 2007 01:59 PM (GMT)
You know, if money weren't a factor and vanity wasn't a sin I'd get a tummy tuck to get rid of all the extra sag....Then I might be able to wear a bikini...Wait...i'm so fair complected that I'd blind the world with reflecting the sun...Not to mention burn a match...
White girls who cannot tan shouldn't wear bikinis....
Honey - April 11, 2007 02:04 PM (GMT)
A tummy tuck IMHO would be a waste of money anyway. I have a sister who thinks a tummy tuck will cure all her "tummy ails". BULL. A little more motivation and a lotta bellydancing helps with the tummy problems. Maybe by next summer I might be "bikini ready". :booyah:
Stringaling - April 11, 2007 02:14 PM (GMT)
Not in some cases. In mine, where the skin is actually too big for the body, removal of it is the only thing that will make it look better. I have lost some extra weight off my stomach, but the skin still hangs loose adn oversized and ugly from stretch marks. No amount of working out will fix that....

Knowing I wouldn't feel comfortable, my husband wouldn't ask in the first place.

He asks all summer.
I wear one in the backyard.
NO biggy
As for the tummy tuck...I'd get one. I've had family members have it done
10+ years later...still looks great.
andiesmama - April 13, 2007 11:54 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I'd wear one at our house......NOT to the beach or pool, tho.....
Stringaling - April 13, 2007 01:45 PM (GMT)
Not even at the house...I'm too self conscious about my messed up skin...Its hideous..
Honey - April 13, 2007 02:27 PM (GMT)
Hey, I should wear my bikini while running around outside! I wonder how many bumper buggies we'd get! :haha:
