Ladies, Defend your position!

I'll be back later--gotta get some cleaning done!

Nothing!!!!!!!

...well, for a while still.

Pads. I don't like them but I've never been able to get comfortable using tampons. Never tried cups...

`I used tampons for years ans then I learned about the cup. Its really kinda wierd. you actually put it in and the stuff just goes into the cup and you dump it twice a day. Sounds nasty...I guess it is, but I prefer not having strings 'n things in my breeches...

Why?. They are much more comfortable than pads--you can't even feel them at all....

I always have an ache and I feel "off" when wearing them. They always hurt to take out as well. I guess I'm just really sensitive there cos it's been the same feeling both before and after having babies. So I just stick to the pads.

Another advantage to the cups is that they don't absorb the natural moisture that is supposed to be there. That's probably why it is uncomfortable to remove them-they've dried you out. The cup doesn't do that..

Tampons.......

I don't like the pads because they feel like a diaper to me, makes me feel like I'm walking funny! :P Also I don't feel clean, it's alot messier.

I used to have the problem with the tampons drying me out, but I switched to the "slim regular" ones, and don't have that problem anymore.

PLUS, you can't go swimming if you wear pads......but you can with tampons!!

Note: I HAVE considered using the cup, don't know if I'd be too grossed out by it, tho........... :dunno:

Geez, Deb! What size pads do YOU use? They make them like, ULTRA thin anymore....nothing like they used to be. Tampons dry me out and make me sore. I don't think my periods are heavy enough for them. Afterall, they are only 3 light days. The heaviest day is the first and that's about it. I could pretty much use just pantyliners.

Oh, see, I could NEVER use almost pantyliners.....my first and second day are SOOO heavy........ .........I'd have to use the triple-thick pads or something of that sort!! :P

So there we have it. Now you see why I say pads/pantyliners. :cheeky:

hope4today - April 6, 2007 05:57 AM (GMT)
Definitely tampons for me. They are clean, easy and comfortable. I don't even
know they're there. I've been using tampons since I was 13 (not very long ago, of course  ) I can't stand the mess of pads.
I don't have any trouble with dryness, and with all the other bits of material and garb I have to put all over my body since Adam and Eve stuffed up , what's an extra little bit of string to worry about :dunno:

So it's rockets for me.

Golfingmom - April 6, 2007 08:40 PM (GMT)
Rockets...? that's the first time I've heard 'them' referred that way :rolf: :haha:

uh, yeah.......kinda scary sounding!!

Honey - April 7, 2007 02:32 PM (GMT)
Rockets sound painful. I mean, the only that goes in me is my hubby's "rocket"....know what I'm sayin' here?

hope4today - April 7, 2007 03:07 PM (GMT)
:rolf: Rockets comes from my teenage daughters and they call their period 'George'.....go figure :dunno:
The first time my daughter proudly told me she had managed to use a rocket I had to have it explained to me  . I try to keep up with their lingo as best I can

As long as there's no explosion, fire, or astronauts...I'm good with the lingo.

"George"? :haha:
