Title: mouse question

I use my little roller wheel on my mouse all the time. Sometimes, here on FHL, the mouse will start highlighting things any time I click and and the roller wheel will move me back and forth between pages viewed.. What did I do and how can I stop it when that happens??

Basically.... Means the computer is misreading your mouse's signals.
85-90% you need to reboot the PC
First thought off the top of my head....
Prollya rogue process just playing havoc. Especially if it's intermitent.
How often we talking once a week, only on FHL, couple times an hour?

Not very often at all and I have only noticed it happening here.

Have you cleaned it? Those wheeled mouses (mice? sp?) get dirty pretty easy. When we had one, I used Q-tips and rubbing alcohol to clean it. Worked like a charm. Now we have a light-up one that doesn't have a wheel. I like it much better!

I think she's talking about a scroll wheel and not a rollerball.
Ball mouse, and optical mouse have nothing to do with the wheel (other than the fact that most mice produced nowadays have a wheel)
And the plural is indeed mice.....
