For those of you who subscribe to Sports Illustrated, did you opt out of receiving the swimsuit issue?

If I did, I probably would....
Good Mag...kinda pricey though since it's weekly.

I never much cared for SI's swimsuit issue. Marvel's, on the other hand...

Check out She-Hulk!

Is that the She-Hulk or a Martian?

Bruce [aka: The Hulk] Banner's cousin, Jennifer Walters, required a transfusion after being shot. The only donor within range who was her blood type was - you guessed it - Brucey. His blood turned her into the She-Hulk. But, whereas he is a raving lunatic when he assumes the form of the hulk, she is always green, always strong, and always in her right mind. And, she's hot!

How do you "Opt-Out"? I don't have a sub - but never knew you could opt-out.

I think you can just write in and ask them not to send that issue.

It's kinda crazy how bad that issue has gotten. I mean - honestly - it's nothing more than "soft" porn. It's rather sad how desensitized we have become to it.

Never really a fan of SI....
Even if I did subscribe to SI I'd pass on the Swimsuit issue... especially now that I'm married to Misty... she's way to damned jealous...

I subscribe to Flex (a muslcemag) and I always just trash the swimsuit when it comes. My wife doesn't care and my wife knows I'm more about the articles (that's what they all say I'm sure). I thank God every day that I was exposed to that James Dobson interview with Ted Bundy when I was 12-13. It scared the hell out of me. In my mind if you view porn it will eventually equal you killing people and having sex with them after they are dead.
I also never had a sister and now that I'm in the age where we're going to start having kids and the reality of me having a daughter has me think of these girls in these pics as girls that are someone's daughter, someone's sister. It sickens me then. If I had a sister and someone looked at her like guys look at these girls I'd want to poke their eyes out. If I have a daughter and some guy looks at her like that he will be blind and I'll be in jail.

Did I just squash this thread? I didn't mean to take the "higher road" and that I'm perfect- I have plenty of other issues that I struggle with just as much as guys and pornography!

I don't know if U squashed the thread, but you have valid points.

I dunno about that one. Altho I do agree that porn degrades both the viewer and viewee.

Here's a link to the interview: It will explain why he said that about the murder-porn connection..

I guess I should have said In my "teenaged mind" I linked murder, necrophelia and pornograpy so it kept me away from it early on. I recognize that it doesn't now but there is a little part of me that shoots up a red flag when porn is brought up.
Thanks for linking it String... As of yet I have yet to click on it. I'm a little scared... it haunted me for a long time when I was a kid!
