take a song from a CD that I have and post it on this forum. Got a kids CD and some of the songs are rather quirky and I'd like to post a couple here for all you other mums and dads....

If you want to put something on "the web", you have to put it somewhere that is on the web. In other words, someone who has a domain registered and a webserver needs to 'host' it. This would be akin to leasing space in an office building for your business. Granted, the lease for internet domains is much cheaper than an office building, but it's still a cost.

So, to make your songs available to people on the web (and assuming it's not illegal), they need to be put somewhere people will be able to see them. I have a webserver. It's one of the aforementioned places. E-mail the songs to me and I'll put them on my webserver.
