And just ask for small donations nothing more than $5 per person per so many days maybe a month..... then take the proceeds and pay off what I can of what's left of my debt, fix the cars fix the roof.... then see what charities I could help out once I'm back in the black.....

I felt really good at lunch today I actually had a couple bucks in change that I was able to part with to a homeless guy... and he actually went in to buy a burger to eat.....


I've thought about this idea alot... a friend of mine started for a while a site called stupidpeoplewithmoneytoburn.com dunno if it's still running but he made a few bucks with it more than enough to cover the domain reg fees and hosting costs and get some pizza and beer....

Part of me wants to do this and part of me wants to slap the hell out of that other part because it's too proud to ask for help.....

And one of my favorite webcomics URL=http://www.reallifecomics.com/] http://www.reallifecomics.com/[/URL] has a button on his site.. not hungry just broke that I think is classic.... looking for donations to keep the site (and his life) up and running....

Though hopefully by the end of the year I'll have at least one of three comics that I want to do up and running....

There was this listing on Ebay a few years back. Some guy was selling this enormous lot of beanie babies for practically nothing. Then he went on to explain how his wife cheated on him with his friend and how he got a hold of these stuffed animals and was basically just selling them to spite her. Well, the guy made a boat-load of money on that listing. So he decided to start another one - buy me a beer. It was a dutch auction, no limit. Once again, he explained how awful this woman was and what was going on, and if you were interested you could buy him a beer for a buck.

I thought the idea was so hysterical, and creative, that I just had to do it. The story was great. And the guy made a ton of money.

So as long as Ebay hasn't changed their policies on this stuff (I mean, heck you could even sell toast that looks like a celebrity so why not take cash donations?!) why not just open an auction? And maybe a play on words with your name might be pretty funny.

Donation section for the site to build bigger better servers and pay for the day to day operations of the server....

Donation section for the memebrs who are having issues and need a hand......

Donation section for Charities / Politicians that we feel uphold core Christian Values....

I still think Ebay is the way to go. Those kind of auctions get a lot of attention. People start sending them to all their friends... No one's going to just donate to you from your website.

Actually if you do a guerilla marketing campaign to generate traffic..... You can get a lot of Traffic....

There are ways to get traffic to your site.....

I can't rememebr most of them off the top of my head but I do rememebr tehre were a load of free or very low cost ways to promote yourself.... or a website... gotta find my old books...
