Title: 7 Signs your child loves you

1. Your newborn stares into your eyes — he's actually working hard to memorize your face. He doesn't understand anything else about the world, but he knows you're important.
2. Your baby thinks about you even when you're not around. Between 8 and 12 months old, he'll start to scrunch his face and look around when you leave the room — and he'll smile when you return.
3. Your toddler throws wicked tantrums. Nope, those screaming fits don't mean he's stopped loving you. He wouldn't be so hurt and angry if he didn't trust you so deeply.
4. Your toddler runs to you for comfort when he falls down or feels sad. Kids this age may not truly understand the meaning of "I love you," but their actions speak louder than words.
5. Your preschooler gives you a flower picked from the garden, a finger-painted heart, a sparkly rock, or another gift.
6. Your preschooler wants your approval. He'll start to be more cooperative around the house, and he'll look for chances to impress. "Look at me!" will become a catchphrase.
7. Your grade-schooler trusts you with secrets, like his first crush or his most embarrassing moment. You're his confidante, even if he shies away from your hugs in public.

I thought the fact that they were comfortable enough to throw up on me meant that they loved me...don't see that one there.

Nah - I threw up on plenty of strangers when I was drunk.
but then again:
| QUOTE (One of my father's beer steins) |
The wonderful love of a beautiful maid And the love of a staunch, true man, And the love of a baby unafraid, These have existed since time began.
But the greatest love; the love of loves, Even greater than that of a mother, Is the tender, passionate, infinite love Of one dead drunk for another |
So, you may be right. :P

I have a question about this one:

As a child I could never tell my mother anything like that. That would have ben too embarrassing for me. Even now I cannot comprehend anyone telling their parents things like that. my husband said that he was able to talk to his mom like that, ....I just couldn't imagine....
You know, I think I'll start a new thread about this somewhere else so I won't derail..

When you ask my 4 year-old "Who's your girl?" He says, "Mamma". Tom swears I'm doing damage to the boy. But I don't care! He's my baby!! Besides, neither of them are allowed to date until their 30 anyway!

There's something else we have in common.
We were wandering the mall waiting on my *ahem* bifocals  to be made (so I was blind - had to leave my frames there, 'cuz insurance will only cover frames every two years). The girls wanted to go into a formals store, so we went. Youngest ran straight to a beautiful wedding gown (about $3k) and said, "I want this!" Kid's got good taste, right? I said, "You don't need to worry about it for at least 30 years." My oldest dropped her jaw and stared at me. I said, "You neither!"
Sales lady was :rolf:
