Because I am sincerely believing for one for your marriage.
We prayed for you guys in bible study today. And I know those women, they will continue to lift you both up in prayer until they hear a praise report out of Texas.
I've got a project for you both. Actually, this is something we should all do. It's really powerful. Our Pastor had us do this last year during the time he was teaching on how to walk in love. It's pretty simple.
Now we know that God is love, right? And we know that when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior that old things passed away, and we are new again - new creations in Christ. This makes us love too. So in order for us to walk in love, we have to understand the principles of love. We have to understand what love is. So what you do, is take 1 Cor 13, beginning in verse 4 and you personalize it. Then you say it out loud as often as you need to to remind yourself of how you should behave in love (toward anyone, but this is especially true with our spouses).
So you're replacing "Love" with "I". Like this:
I am patient, I am kind. I do not envy, I do not boast, I am not proud. I do not dishonor others, I am not self-seeking, I am not easily angered, I keep no record or wrongs...you get the idea.

1 Corinthians 13
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

This is the NIV, use whatever version you're most comfortable with. But do it. It's amazing how you can get that verse inside of you and then use it when you really need it (in the middle of an argument, or traffic, or online, etc.).
Good post, Lynn.
Sarah & Louis, with all these people praying for you (I, for one, do it constantly throughout the day....you guys are on my mind alot), there's no way satan will win this one!
