Title: So This Is Where We
Honey - November 28, 2005 04:35 PM (GMT)
talk about marriage, eh? Guess I'll kick this off by saying we're going on our 11th nanneworsary on Sunday. We're dropping the kids off at my sister's on Saturday and heading out to....uh, we're not sure yet. Just a day to get away, I suppose. Even just a day of peace and quiet with nothing fancy is good enough for the both of us. The way I see it, the more you try to dress it up, the more "perfect" you expect it to be and then you stress over the things that didn't go right that should've gone right.... So, yeah. Even a long drive with a hearty meal in between works for us. ;) We're just amazed that it's been 11 years already! Oh, we are setting up the Christmas tree on Saturday, too. That'll be fun! :booyah:

I bet it was you who stuffed the vents full of confetti in the car, eh? We didn't get the rice, but we did get the confetti! Stuff flew out for the next 7 years! And the toilet paper all over the car, whipped cream on the back window. We were lucky and didn't get the condom on the exhaust pipe. They did that to my sister. (She got married one month before we did.)

Happy Anniversary Lena. Eleven years is something to be proud of these days. We celebrated 10 this past August and October (two weddings, twice the celebrating!). We went to a great Italian restaurant for the first one. It was just so nice to be out! :booyah:
But after reading GR's date thread, we've decided we're in need of a date night ASAP. At this point, a quiet cup of coffee would be great.

Happy Anniversary! May God bless you with many more happy years together....

that's a big one! Congratulations!
December 21 is our 11th anniversary of dating - yeah I still remember that stuff.
Actually, we tend to celebrate that a lot more than our wedding anniversary. We dated for nearly four years before getting married. Had to wait for school to end, etc.
Rambling now. Anyway, married 7 years on October 4 and dating 11 years on Dec. 21.

Congratulations, Lena! Our second wedding anniversary was yesterday (might still be "today" for you guys....the 29th).
Our third dating anniversary is January 12, but I'm not going to celebrate it anymore because it's the same date as a really tragic occurrence last year.

Well Monday the 5th is our two year anniversary of the day we met. May 1st this year was oddly enough my good friend / BIL's (her middle sister's hubby) 29th birthday, my BIL's (My oldest sister's hubby) 2nd anniversay of his death, and our one year dating. December 29th will be our one year anniversary of Marriage (which is also her Grandmother's anniversary too).
Do I hold the record for marriage newb?? or at least most convaluted date scheme?

Happy Anniversary! Married 11yrs here too :D
Sarah - December 3, 2005 07:32 PM (GMT)
We've been married 4.5 years. I think we might hold the record of "least amount of time spent in each other's presence before married award" at just 7 weeks though :D
