Title: Sumthin I wanna try

As is common for me in this truck, I think alot, mainly bout thins that don't exsit, like holodecks, transporters etc hehe but I do review thins I've learned toy wit other thins, software thins, what would happen if I did this etc.
Well I didn't git a chance to post pic's of my latest prodject before I left, but I finished it an have it strapped to my bunk, a pc for tv, games etc. The problem I am havin wit it however is the sound. I have a FM modulator in this truck so I can use truck power/radio speakers for pc sound. That modulator is behind the dash an works great plugged into my lap top on the dummy seat. The problem I am havin though is the input wire to the modulator from the out put of the bunk puter runs close to 7 er 8 feet an I am gittin a tremendous amount of, what I believe is interference an creates a great deal of back ground noise. Only seems to do it though when the puter is booted to windows, of course thats the only time the sound card would be turned on anyways.
I thought, but am not real sure, that the cable I am usin is a shielded cable, but the distance I am goin is rather far, so even if it is shielded it may be losin to much signal in dedrgation etc. I can probly fix that problem wit install a boast/graphic eq to help the signal out, will work on that if I go home. For now however, I was wonderin bout sumthin else, I've never done it, not even havin heard that I can recall of havin it be done, not even real sure if its possible.
I wanna network my lap tops sound card so that I can use it to play my bunks sound. I already have a network setup in here, so what do you think? Is it possible to network my bunk pc's sound so it plays through the lap top an into the modulator?

I don't know if sound can be networked. But, you could pick up a shielded cable at a music store for about $20. It'll guard against the hum. 'Course, it might also be a faulty plug...
