Title: Your Wedding Date

Honey - December 1, 2006 12:08 AM (GMT)
When is your wedding date and why did you pick it?

andiesmama - December 1, 2006 12:25 AM (GMT)
:D
It's 11/1, we picked it because Ty said that would be an EASY date for him to remember!!

Honey - December 1, 2006 12:29 AM (GMT)
And has he ever forgotten? :D

We picked 12/4 because it's only 20 days away from Christmas! :mistletoe: I'd always wanted a December wedding. Kinda adds to the Christmas excitement. :eyebrows:

andiesmama - December 1, 2006 02:00 AM (GMT)
Nope, he never has.....but then again, I start reminding him about a week or so before-hand!! :tease:

seige - December 1, 2006 03:03 AM (GMT)
8/18/01 (though we've been together since 12/95) and we just picked it... because it was a good weekend in the only sunny month in WA.

Stringaling - December 1, 2006 01:55 PM (GMT)
Courthouse wedding: 7-12-00 Because I needed to get on his insurance for the pregnancy

Church Wedding: 5-10-03 I don't know why this particular date....

clayman - December 1, 2006 02:27 PM (GMT)
October 4 - similar reasons to String (though she had the insurance in our case). We were planning on March something-or-other, but with a little one on the way, we moved the date up to the hottest, most humid day I can ever remember.

It was also the day of the first (and second-to-last) running of the Houston Grand Prix Formula 1 race. My brother (best man) threatened not to come to the wedding so he could go watch the stinkin' race. Then I pointed out it wasn't NASCAR, so he dropped his threat. :D

May 25, 1996.

Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, it gave our family and friends an extra day to travel.

LynnMcG - December 1, 2006 06:21 PM (GMT)
Thursday, August 31, 1995. It was the day after my DH graduated from his mission program. We made a purity promise for 14 months before (after having lived with each other for 3 years) so I guess that was about as long as you can make a person wait!

amyroo - December 1, 2006 06:28 PM (GMT)
Oct. 7, 2000. I always wanted to get married in August and he wanted to get married in the winter, so this was our comprimise. Although, it did snow and I was really mad about it.

October 7 is the best day of the year in my not-so-humble opinion. It's "The Great Clay's" birthday!

Why?

I don't know...I guess cause it was the summer after I graduated college? Couldn't live and take care of myself, by myself, until she graduated 6 months later?

j/k

I think it was because she couldn't resist my body any longer.

Yeah, same here. We were only engaged for 4 months, then couldn't take it anymore and just HAD to "get the show on the road"! :tease:

Friday May 25th 2001. Not exactly sure why we chose that date. I came over to Texas on April 19th on the 90 day visa waiver. We knew pretty much straight away that we wanted to get married but couldn't get married too soon otherwise it might look fishy to the INS  I wanted a May date and that one was available. It was just Me, Louis and the JP. That was also the day we found out we were expecting Kat

Honey - December 1, 2006 10:02 PM (GMT)
Wow. Got a few shotgun weddings around here!

 Well, we had decided to get married and had everything set up before we found out so it's not like we ran out and got married because we were pregnant  Louis does like to claim that Kat was a month early though. I told him there wasn't a chance he could get away with that since she 8lbs 4oz - doesn't exactly sound like a preemie. But since Liam popped out at 9lbs 12oz he thinks it's more convincing now that Kat could still be a preemie being that big

12/14 is our wedding date.
We origionally had it set for the summer - but then switched it when we found out we could get more financial aid for school the following semester. :)

That reminds me of a time when a sicko actually went INTO a Johnny-on-the-Spot at a local beach to watch people do their business!! :screwy: :puke:

Needless to say, he got busted when a woman discovered him there. :bolt:

clayman - December 19, 2006 06:50 AM (GMT)

We got married in the summer on one of the few dates our wedding location was available. WE chose summer b/c I was in school so it gave me enough time to get ready for the wedding and then for school after the wedding. :D
