Title: Praise Your Spouse
Honey - November 23, 2006 06:15 PM (GMT)
Folks, I think it's time we had a thread where we PRAISE our spouse. We all have our bad sides which always seems easier to point out and complain about... now it's time to brag about the GOOD side!
My hubby....
~ Besides his being extremely sexy & good-looking :eyebrows:
~ Has a good, solid faith in God.
~ Great with the kids & myself.
~ Shows much more patience than I have...I'm learning, tho!
~ Very level-headed.
~ Easy to please...most days.
~ Helps around the house.
All in all, God gave me the PERFECT husband for me.

Don't ask me to do this today..... :nono: B)
clayman - November 24, 2006 02:26 PM (GMT)
My wife. I love her dearly!
- She loves me - why I'll never know!
- She is extremely creative!
- She's hot! :eyebrows:
- She reminds me that I spend too much time on the 'net - which is true...
- She is always about four steps ahead. Drives me crazy sometimes, but we always wind up where we want to be...
- She's strong where I'm weak - she holds me up.
- She's weak where I'm strong - she leans on me.
- She loves the Lord.
- She comes from great stock! Yeah, I even love my MIL!
There's more, but I didn't want to bore y'all!
rasplundjr - November 27, 2006 01:16 AM (GMT)
She's Beautiful, she truly loves me, and our families.
She's a lot smarter than she gives herself credit for.
She's full of faith and love for the Lord, and her fellow man.

1) puts up with all the family Christmas pictures without *much* complaining
2) is patient beyond belief with my moods
3) is so good with Andie
4) works at a job he hates so I can be a SAHW/M
How's that, for a start?? :gotcha:

My wife is the greatest because-
-she's an absolute knock-out!
-she's a good, Godly woman.
-she is way smarter than I.
-she picks me up when the world gets me down.
-can I say she's incredible in the sack?!
-she encourages me to be better.
-she strengthens my faith.
-she is my Holy Spirit when I am being too stubborn.
-she is going to be an awesome mom.
-she is the best cook!
-she loves me when I'm unloveable.
-she'll support me even when she doesn't 100% agree with me.
-she values family.
-she is a great friend (my best friend).
-she knows her Bible.
-she encourages me to be the man God wants me to be.
-she follows my leadership.
-she is just fun to be around.
-everything is better when she is around.
-she has a great sense of style but can make a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt look sexy!
-when she is driven, nothing will stand in her way.
-she loves with her whole heart.
-she gives me looks across the room that still bring me to my knees.
-she keeps getting more and more beautiful.
-she holds my hand and always wants to be close and touching me.
-she laughs at my jokes.
-she is a Proverbs 31 wife.
-she puts up with my stupid diet and weight lifting stuff.
-she will watch stupid movies with me and laugh.
-she loves dogs.
-there is nothing she won't do for someone she loves.
-she's forgiving, filled with grace.
-she is simply the most incredible person I have ever met.
Is that enough? I could keep going!
Honey - November 28, 2006 08:13 PM (GMT)
Is that IT?! Keep going!

This girl not only watches football with me (GO HAWKS!!!) but she is a damn fine flag football player too! She has the surest hands of any girl I've ever played with and she isn't afraid to get dirty! Seriously guys (and gals), there's no stopping this one! She's seriously the best thing that has ever happened to me and since you've encouraged me...
-she watches boxing, UFC and football with me.
-she says I can take anyone though I haven't been in a fight since high school.
-she reads books on how to be a better wife, mother, Christian.
-she loves it when I read to her.
-she will come check out a good poop if I tell her, "Honey, you've GOT to see this!"
-she's very, very rarely "too tired".
-she will play me in Madden on the PS2 even though she knows I whip her every time.
-she thinks I dance well and always wants to dance with me (I suck!).
-she prays for me silently after we pray together every night.
-she sleeps naked with me though she was all about pj's when we were first married.
-I sweat and snore in my sleep and she still snuggles next to me.
-she tells me I'm a good husband, even when I'm not.
-she never nags me or gets on me about things she's asked me to do.
-she is consistantly loving and caring with my family.
-she calls my mom and dad "mom and dad".
-she goes on hikes with me and poops in the woods.
-she gave up skiing for snowboarding (I snowboard).
-she will work on the car with me.
-she never gloats b/c she can build a better fire than me.
-she values time with me and makes it a point to connect with me daily.
-she snuggles with me while we watch tv.
-she sings the opening song to CSI: las vegas, every time! ;)
-she allows me to be a guy (read "stupid") and doesn't make me be feminine (no pink shirts for me)
-she'll have a fart war with me.
-she'll naked wrestle with me.
-she knows all of my students by name.
-she helps decorate my classroom.
-regardless of how tired she is, I get her best.
-she sings with me in the car.
-she holds my hand while we drive places.
-she rubs my neck while we're on long trips.
-she makes the phone calls I "never get to".
-she is responsible with money.
-she has the same financial goals as I do.
-she keeps me from hording all my money under a mattress.
-she can laugh right after we have a fight.
-she is always willing to talk things out.
-she takes showers with me every morning.
-she sings the "wash your body-every day" song when she's in the shower (the "rock your body" Justin Timberlake song remix (by her!)).
-she loves the snow.
-she always has a kiss for me.
-she goes on walks with me.
-she sits with me on "our bench" in the park by our house.
-she loves to tease me all day long...
-she emails me when she can.
-she always one-ups me on the gifts for Christmas, Birthdays or Anniversaries.
-she loves to give gifts to people.
-she is good to my brother.
-she honors me while away from me.
-she respects my feelings/wishes.
-she puts "us" ahead of "her".
-she let's me bounce ideas off her without judgement.
Enough yet? I could keep going! She's the greatest!

I don't know---a lot of the things on that list I would feel uncomfortable doing or feel like it was false it I did it so I don't know how those could be "goals"--I'm just screwed up I think

Ok, the point of this thread is to BRAG about your spouse. No whining about what you can or can't do. Think about your spouse for once and point out the GOOD in him. Can we all do that?

I don't watch hockey with Abe. Does that make me a bad wife? DON'T answer that. I'm just making a point here. :P

Remember we've had some rough times. Those often make you really value what you almost lost. Jennifer's awesome, I couldn't imagine life without her. She has her flaws too... I just love her in spite of them!

Man, it looks like I squashed this thread! I suggest just sitting and thinking about the things you love about your spouse. The longer you do it the more pop into your head! It makes you really start to appreciate them! Be excited about your marriage!

He brings me a "brew" when I ask him. :wine:
He'll massage my shoulders if I sit on his lap (and block his view of the boob tube).
He tucks me in with the blankets at night just to make sure I'm warm.
He rarely loses his temper....
I'll post more as it pops up. B)
