Title: Winter's approaching..

Time for tune-ups. Greasy rags abound in the garage as all the guys come in for a beer and spark plugs...

:drunk:

Honey - October 25, 2006 05:26 PM (GMT)

OK - combine this thread with the one about how you and tall-skinny hubby never got drunk...

OOoh, boy! I need to buy a ticket to Ontario! Gonna be some fun this weekend!

Honey, take pics!

It's Scotch  That's not supposed to be weak. Infact I think it tastes like paint thinner. I like the Seagrams Seven I think better.

Addicted2~Jesus - October 26, 2006 01:03 PM (GMT)
uh... I absoultely do not rememebr the man drinkin scotch at all.. you sure bout that?

Sarah - October 26, 2006 01:53 PM (GMT)
Yes, we have 1.5 bottles of it here at the house from his visits. As far as I know it's the only whiskey my dad drinks. It's his "cold medicine"

I wonder if I should tell him not to bring any this time. Surely 1.5 bottles is enough to get him through a 3 week visit!

Sarah - October 26, 2006 01:56 PM (GMT)
Hmm, I just went and looked. The second bottle only has 1/8 left and not half....should still be enough though...

clayman - October 26, 2006 02:07 PM (GMT)
My dad loves scotch. Got hooked on it when he was stationed in - of all places - Scotland. It took me a while, but it's not so bad.

When I worked at a liquor store, the most expensive bottle of liquor we had on the shelf was scotch. I don't remember the brand, but it was about $750 for the bottle.

This here's what I like! Doesn't take much to get me all relaxed. It has only 17% alcohol.

clayman - October 27, 2006 11:15 AM (GMT)
I hate cordials! Too sweet! :puke:

Man! Ya may as well drink soda syrup straight out of the box!

Gimme something that goes down without leaving a snail trail - something like tequila or Crown on the rocks.

Cuba Libre - but Pepsi bites.

In Rio de Janeiro, if you ordered a "Rum & Coke", they'd serve you a tall glass of rum with a can of coke. And, it would cost you about 45¢. You'd see these guys trying to pour their rum into the coke 'cuz they couldn't hack it straight. I laughed.

You ever see Scrooged with Bill Murray? There's a scene where he's pretty shaken up, and he's pouring a glass of whiskey and shaking a couple of drops of Tab into the whiskey. That's the way I drank the rum & coke in Rio!

So, here's my drink. Pretty much the same, but a little bit different:

Nah - you want something non-alcoholic that's good, drink iced tea - straight. No sugar, no lemon.

I hate sweet drinks!!!! :wall:

Stringaling - October 27, 2006 04:41 PM (GMT)
I don't like to dring anything alcoholic that tastes like alcohol--gotta hide it with sweetness..

clayman - October 27, 2006 05:22 PM (GMT)
Hate sweetness - except my wife... :eyebrows:

There's a reason my blood sugar remains in the low 70s...
