Title: Proud Mommy moment....

Actually, moments!! :D You get proud when your kid takes their first step, says their first word, goes on the potty....but all of that is stuff that's more or less ingrained, it's not really something we teach, drill into their little brains if that makes sense!

Well, here are two proud moments that about made my heart burst when Andie told me about them:

1) She informed me the other day that a bunch of BOYS (yes, you guys read it right...no girls, just B-O-Y-S!!) tore some pages out of their teacher's reading books!! She said she didn't do it, neither did any of the girls, and when I asked her why, she said that it was a bad thing to do! My little girl didn't give in to peer pressure!!

2) A few days ago she was upset that some boy in her class told her that he didn't like her drawing ( :box: ), so Ty & I discussed it with her and told her that it didn't matter what anyone else thought, the only thing that mattered was if SHE liked it. People didn't have to like the same things, blah blah blah. Well, today in the car after I picked her up, she told me that kid had said it to her again, then she tells me, "So I told him that it didn't matter what he thought, I really liked it and that's all that matters!" And then she told me, "So after I told him that, he left me alone!" And she was all smiles and so excited!! :D

Anyhow, it's just so cool because those are really the first times that I've actually see fruition of what we talk to her about & try to ingrain in her. She's got the good manners & all that, but we're always around her, you know? At school she's all by herself....and wow! What we say actually works!!

Boys are so MEAN!!!

I was picking on my oldest in Sam's Saturday. You know - the really tame stuff like tugging on a single hair, tapping her other shoulder, etc. Some nosy lady said, "You shouldn't be so mean to your daughter."

My daughter looked her in the eye and said, "Daddy didn't have any sisters so he's got to pick on me!"

Way to go Debby!

Clay, that was pretty funny. That lady should have minded her own business.
