Title: Nothing says romance
Description: like a naked child running into the room

sf49erfan - October 16, 2006 02:38 PM (GMT)
Saturday night Karen and I were having a romantic candle-light dinner at home after the girls had gone to bed.

Suddenly about half way through the meal, our four-year-old came into the diningroom, naked. Instead of just getting out of bed, using the potty, and going back to bed; she had undressed and come downstairs to tell us she needed to use the potty!

Hey! At least she gets out of bed to pee... Mine usually just sleep right through it and soak their sheets...

That's something to tell her husband about one day!

:rolf:
Yeah - when she's 16!!! :haha:

Well, us dads would do something like that...

Eric, does your daughter have those once-piece fleece jammies? What do you call them? The ones that zip up the front? Because frankly, I would think it would be easier to just get naked than risk dropping an arm or leg into the potty while you're peeing in the middle of the night!

It's hard to keep the romance alive with kids. I'm still embarrassed about our daughter (5) walking in on me and String having an intimate moment. She was 1/2 asleep, but was standing in our doorway just watching. I'm not sure how long she was there, but she seemed to buy that I was giving mommy as massage for a sore back. :dunno: It was all I could think of on the fly, but she seemed to buy it, thank goodness. One day it'll probably hit her--poor girl. I know I'd be traumatized if I say my parents going at it.

We always lock the door. Funny thing - a couple weekends back, when the kids were out of town, we still locked the door. Just out of habit! :dunno: :booyah:

When our kids are away for the night, first thing DH says is "we're doing it in the living room tonight." I don't know why that's so appealing though. A bed is SO much more comfortable!

Otherwise, we always lock the door. ESPECIALLY after reading that thread on the site-we-shall-not-name.
