OK - y'all know about my Monday. Well, today it got worse. The car's gonna cost $675 to repair. That's about $175 more than it's worth. So, we're going to park it in the driveway and cancel the insurance. But while I was trying to talk to the garage, the power went out three times - once for 90 minutes. It came on, just long enough for me to get dinner started. I had a pound of hamburger half-browned when the lights went out again. Had to get oldest to ballet practice, so I put it all on ice and left. Came home and had just enough time to finish browning the meat and get the potatoes started in the oven. Now I've got to go pick up my daughter to the Southwest, and pick up my wife from work way East of here. Then get home and enjoy a nice dinner of half-cooked potatoes, meat and rice. :P
We're gonna cancel the insurance on the car tomorrow. That means we're down to one car. Hey, String - got room in there for three more? (one car - stuck at home...) We could get up at 5:30 am and drive the wife to work - which is what we'll have to do on Tuesday and Thursday until an alternate plan can be developed.

Wow, that stinks Clay. Been there, done that though. It's only recently that we've had two cars.
Hey, on the bright side - you just saved a bunch of money on your car insurance!

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Another thing hit me last night while talking to my brother. That was the first new car I ever bought. He talked me into it. There was some emotional attachment to it (yeah, my wife laughed at me for that one). I bought it in March of 1998 with three miles on the odo.

Never could afford drive-thru lunches. :(
But it got 48 miles to the gallon on that trip to Corpus. :booyah: That's one reason I really liked that car!

Sorry to hear everything's going wrong at once. I just felt like everything was falling apart, but really it was only my marriage. I can't imagine if other things were piled on top right now.
