Do any of you ladies own a carpet steam cleaner? I want to buy one, but not sure which one to buy. If you have one, what brand and model is it? Do you like it?

I don't own one...we've always rented one from our grocery store...and I think our local hardware store rents them as well.

My in-laws have one of those Rainbo (sp?) cleaners....it does a GREAT job! :thumbsup:

But I pretty much just vacuum weekly and spot clean with this OxyClean carpet cleaner stuff (I think Woolite makes it).

Oh yeah, I never thought about renting them! lol That's a good idea. I think I have seen them at the local grocery stores here too.

I have a hoover steam something or other. Love it! Great to have handy when you need it. Animal accidents, Child accidents, husband accidents....I thought that it would be best tohave one because you can't really go out and rent one every time the carpets get spilled on, and sprayign and soaking with a towel is such a pain and tedius and never gets it all out..

That's my next big purchase. I'm going to throw one on lay-away at Walmart just to make sure I get it. My son does such a job on our carpets, it's scary.

Oh yeah--its a must have with boys in the house!! Sarah! You better go get one of these in about a year and a half!! :lol:
