Does anyone else find sex on the floor to be really exciting, but really awkward at the same time?

I think that we've only done this a handful of times (handful as in, about 5).

I fixed up the living room with some candles, incense, and a Jill Scott CD the other night. The I pushed the sofa chairs back against the wall and laid a blanket out on the floor with some pillows. (Thank you... thank you..)

I decided that a change in scenery might help to liven things up.

But looking back at the other times that we've christened the floor, I think I realize now why it's not always the "preferred" locale for this kind of stuff.

Floors don't sink. Mattrasses do. And this really makes a big difference in the way everything gets positioned.

Hope this isn't TMI for you guys. :|

Oh, and can I just say that Jill Scott has the BEST CD for sexual background music EVER?!?!?!

We've used rollin chairs, coffee table, dinin table (of sorts) standin, that was interestin. Bath tub, layin, standin, bassackwards. Floor.. but damn the carpet burns. Backseat of car, backyard, of course the big truck.

Don't worry about it. We mix it up a bit, but there's a reason beds are the preferred local of lovers everywhere. And I still say you can't beat the missionary position. It's swell.

I think everyone missed the most important point of this thread...Mr. and Mrs. Redguard were gettin' busy! Woohoo!! Who cares about rugburns? A+ for effort and setting the mood Red.

The only time I can remember having sex on the floor was when my SIL was sleeping in the living (on the other side of the wall from our bed). I was feeling self conscious. I don't know if it was worth it.

okay...this is too funny NOT to share....

one day andy and i decided to "get it on" but it was in the middle of the day and the kids were home. so we hid in the bathroom while they were playing and got into the shower (w/o the water on). it was .... uuuummm.... not-so-fun! :rolf: but we laugh about it all the time now.

In cases like that - we usually head to the closet (it's a walk-in closet). We call it "closet time". B)
