Title: Marriage suggestion
Addicted2~Jesus - July 16, 2006 04:05 PM (GMT)
Sumthin jes come to me an I thought I would share it, maybe it could be helpful for everone. I am of course exempted from this excersie as the OP :) LOL
I jes thought that we should take one complaint aginst our spouse an post it here an then post a resolution of what YOU can do, not what you want your spouse to do, what YOU can do to rectify er remedy the situation.
For example. Sarah leaves er wash towel everwhere. Drives me nuts always has. So that is my complaint agsint er. So what could I do to rectify the situation?
I could ignore the thin er not let it bother me, jes decide it's not sumthin to git fussy bout. Er I could assign mysef the honarble position of offical towel gatherer. :P

Hmmmm.....good one.
Let's see....it annoys me when I talk to Ty and he doesn't respond, even with a "uh-huh" or "I hear you!" :wall:
But I'm usually talking to him from the kitchen when he's in the room right next door (den), so I KNOW he's only listening with MAYBE half an ear.
What I can do to remedy this is talk to him like I have to (sometimes) do with Andie....say his name to be sure he's hearing me, then talk, & end with some kind of question....
Example: "Ty?" (he says, "yes, dear?") "I was thinking about painting the house pink with red trim, what do you think about that?" (he says, "anything your heart desires, dear")
Well, maybe it won't go QUITE that way, but you get my drift.... B)

We've been working through so many problems, it's hard for me to find one right now... I'll be back when there is one. :thanks:

So what can you do to try to avoid that miscommunication in the future? (The point of this thread :D)

There isn't. Men don't listen with both ears. Mine certainly didn't nhear me practically screaming that I don't want a dog in this house... Nothing I could do to fix that one either....SO guess I have to pay the price of cleaning up after that !@#$%V@#$%^ #@$%^ !@#$%^ @#$%^&*( #$%^&...
No I correct that. He knew how I felt. But said that hisdesire for the do was more than my desire not to have one. ha ha... yeah right. He just didn't care
Okay Dr... HOw could I have prevented or fixed that one?

Hmmm.. I gotta say, I wasn't thinkin the other day bout this an then didn't post it so everone could come arunnin in an bitch bout their spouse. Yeah be my guest list their fault, but at the same time before you engage mouths stick brain in gear an come up wit a resoultion, that's what this was bout. Pickin one thin an findin a way to resolve it, not tell me how screwed up it is an then have me try an figure out your problem.

ihave lots of complaints, as i'm a newlywed trying to cope living with a man!! :help:
let's pick one at random....okay, don loves to listen to npr in the car, WHEREVER we go. i can tolerate it for a while. but this one day i had enough when he flip, flip, flip through the talk stations complainig he couldn't find anything. i say, how about the music. he says, you are riding with me today when im going golfing (yet another issue :grrrrrr: ) i whip my head to him i almost gave myself whiplash. i say, in a not so calm voice, that i am not just "with you" for the ride today, and we share the radio and he needs to stop being so selfish because there are TWO people in this car!! of course we bicker back and forth, i end up crying, but the issue is resolved!! don has been doing really good about sharing the radio in the car. which i am very proud. i usually let it go, but that day was the last straw. so maybe he had to hear that he really was a radio hog because now it's better. issue resolved.
now what about the golf issue? that's hopeless. all i can say is fall can't get here soon enough so it's too cold to play!!

I REALLY DISLIKE THE FACT THAT ANDY WILL LEAVE HIS BIG-BOAT SHOES LAYING AROUND THE HOUSE FOR ME TO TRIP OVER.
SO......
I THINK I'M GONNA GET A PLASTIC CONTAINER OF SOME KIND AND ASK HIM NICELY TO PLEASE PUT HIS SHOES IN THE "BUCKET" AND THEN I'LL TAKE THEM UPSTAIRS TO HIS CLOSET FOR HIM.
SIMPLE, AND EFFECTIVE
