My silly little daughter has learned the skill of negotiation.
I offered her two animal crackers with her night time cup of milk before bed.
She looked in her hand and said, "No daddy! Two!"
I said, "I GAVE you two! See? One.. Two.."
She looks in her hand again and then looks at me and says, "Three!"
andiesmama - December 6, 2005 06:52 PM (GMT)
My daughter still hasn't grasped that concept of the higher number, the more you get....I'll tell her she can have for example 4 M&Ms (or whatever)...& she gets this serious look on her face & goes, "Well, how about three?"
Like she's pulling a sly one over on me!! Of course I "fall" for it..."Sure honey! You can have three, that's a great idea!" :eyebrows:

I've got a few here...I just can't think of them right now. My kids are getting to the stage where THEY outsmart ME!

My son absolutely killed me today.
We were talking about Camels.
He had seen something on animal planet about them.
I asked him
Q. What do camels have ??
A. A peepee ??
Q. No son. On their backs ...
A. Mumps :D
Q. How many ??
A. Free (3) :D
:rolf:
I told my wife and she just shook her head and walked away mumbling and muttering something I couldn't hear. :screwy:

That is too cute. You should get that on video and sent it to AFV.
I complained about my daughter's table setting skills the other night after she litterally tossed the forks and napkins onto the table. She sat down, brooding. When we asked her what was wrong she said, and I quote "I don't think you appreciate the things I do for you." All because I thought the table would look nicer with the forks and napkins actually together, at each place on the table.

Wish I had the video camera out.
It was truly a gut buster for me.
His timing was so perfect too.
That is hilarious.
They are such small adults somedays.

My 3 y/o boy sneezed and two huge shoestring boog'es ran down his face and were hang'in off his chin...
Whenever he does this...he freezes...and waits for us to wipe him off...he doesn't move a muscle...just his eyes...looks around to see if we heard his sneeze.
My kids a good bro....

Yeah, leave it to squat.
Well, this wasn't this week, so maybe it doesn't count.
Before Thanksgiving, we were in an electronics store and my littlest one was pushing buttons on the car stereo wall. She hit one that some fool had cranked up to full blast before we got there.
She came running at me with eyes wide :yikes: kinda like that. :rolf:

I haven't seen my little cousin since August, but I had to share. Plus I'm feeling left out :P
Okay, so in August he turned one year old. Since about six months old, he's had this thing about symmetry: if he is holding something in one hand, he has to have something in the other hand. Over the summer, I got in the habit of always giving him two things (two crackers, two carrots, two M&Ms, etc).
Also, he learned to nod and realized it is much easier to nod at what you want instead of throwing a fit.
So anyway, one day when it was time for his snack, I got the box of crackers down from the shelf and asked if he wanted some. He nodded, so I handed him one cracker; he transferred it to his left hand and nodded for his second cracker. I handed it to him, and he looked at it really hard for a couple seconds....
Then he transferred it to his left hand along with the first, and nodded for a third cracker :haha:
I wish I had caught that face on camera---he was all wide-eyed innocence. He wasn't quite a year old, and you could tell he knew he was trying to get away with something...

Last night at dinner....Andie & I were discussing what horses liked to eat (I have NO idea how we got onto that topic..) & I told her that sometimes they liked to eat sugar.
She informed me that she likes sugar, too, and I said I know because she has a sweet tooth like mommy does.
She sticks her finger in her mouth & feels all around, then says, "Yep, that's my sweet tooth, right there!"

My 2yo was scared of the thunder. Older sister (6) tried to calm her by telling her, "It's just God pooting!"

this didn't happen this week, but it was maybe amonth ago or so.. My three year old son--intrigued by his newfound ability to stand up and pee (instead of sitting like he had been for a while) decided that he would try to stand up and poop! I didn't see it happen, but he did it and was successful! I went in there to see a smear down the inside front of the toilet!!!

I love reading these. Do you guys keep journals, because you should be writing this stuff downj. I have them, but I'm sort of behind. I just write down events from our family or the world. I have journals for each child.

Sean was just delirious tonight before he went to bed.
As I tucked him in he asked me for a light bulb and chocolate milk. :screwy:
Why would a 3 year-old ask for a light bulb? He didnt have a fever either. Just wiped out from a busy day. Oh, and sick with a cold.

I was making dinner last night and I told Kat that I would be making rice, beans and burritos. Well Louis called while I was making dinner so I only made the rice and burritos. When I put Kat's place in front of her and she noticed the beans were missing she exclaimed, "Jiminy-freakin'-crickets! Where's the beans?!" LOL I about died at the way she said that and promptly ran off to get her beans

Saying Jiminy crickets is a joke in our house. She gets it from her daddy  Aren't the daddy's always responsible? :lena:
andiesmama - December 22, 2005 07:08 PM (GMT)
:rolf: I thought that sounded like something her daddy would say!
