Title: Talk some sense into her

Addicted2~Jesus - June 22, 2006 02:27 PM (GMT)
I have been tryin for sumthin like 3 years now to convince my wife to git some life insurance on me to no end. Its practical an important if my sorry arse kills over an I have cause for concern, while my death isn't entirely unwelcome, she thinks it would give me ideas, the simple fact is I never know when the day will come, I've started gittin head aches agin like a few years ago when my blood pressure was goin through the roof an I'm noticin alot more blood in my nose daily :( some of that might jes be from dry air in the truck but its increasin an today marks day three of the same head pain in the same area. I could kill over today er maybe not for another 80 years but its a responsible thin to have insurance in place I think.

I don't need to die an straddle er wit a mountain of debt on top of everthin else.

Help convince er that this is the smart thin to do.

Yes, Sarah....for once I agree with A2J... B)

Seriously....it's not fun to think about BUT it's just something IMO that needs to be done to prepare for the future. If not for yourself, then for your children.

And really, there should be life insurance on BOTH spouses, even if one doesn't have a job outside the home....we've got a small policy on myself, but the majority is on Ty....

It hurts to say this, but I agree with A2J. :tease:

Hubby has life insurance and altho I DREAD the day if he should ever keel over before I do, I know I'll be well taken care of financially. I'm thinking of getting some sort of life insurance on myself, too....gotta talk that over yet with the hub.

I sold Life Insurance for about 9 weeks,...

worst job in my life!!! so i'm feeling a little queezy...

But Sarah, It is REALLY necessary to have Life Insurance on A2J's sorry white Butt... Especially with him driving so much... I'm assuming he is self employeed and has NONE...

NONE means if he dies you are royally screwed.
a) debt for funeral expenses
B) No income from his job
c) No Help from A2J with the Kids or around the House
d) No A2J <----- Visa priceless Commercial

a Small Term Life Insurance Policy for $50k
a) PAID funeral expenses
B) a Sum to help you prepair for looking for future income
c) No help from A2J with Kids or around the House, but the small sum will help you get something established, Moving closer to family or freinds or whatever
d) No A2J

a Large Term Policy for say 500k will get you
a) Paid funeral
B) a sum to stick in the bank and live off the Interest as Income
c) No A2J to help you with the kids and around the house, but lets face it he's gone most of the time and is probably a bad influence on Children, Do you really want your kids talking like that

Sorry to joke around about a serious subject, ... but anyway, get insurance please! you can get 50 for like $10 a month now adays.

I totally agree it's practical and have no problem getting life insuarnce for hubby except...

I really do not trust him when it comes whether he will run the truck off a cliff. There are times when he talks about stuff where I truly believe he would just end it all. He has this misguided thought that we would actually be better off without him and that everything would be just perfect with a big pay out of life insurance to where I'd have no debt, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. He fails to realise that the only thing we want is him.

Bottom line is, not having an insurance policy on him is my insurance policy that he won't do something stupid.

She's sorta not exactly quite all togeather in this if you know what I mean. Besides.... if one was to look at it from a logical point of view, it's not entirely a bad idea what she's proposin......

I donno, I'm not sure if I'm proud of sumthin my daughter said er should be sorry for er, I was razzed as a kid quite a bit. But she said sumthin the other day that melted my heart, my wife slapped er forehead but I was warmed, she said 'there', but I cain't spell it the way I er my daughter says it, so even though I'm not round much anymore she's still pickin stuff up from me. Poor kid, I feel for er, it was a non-issue when I was a kid where I lived, but then when we moved down to that valley, jeezzz folks picked on me bunches more. They been mexicanfied to much I think er sumthin.

I used to use that line on Kerense. She still took out insurance on me.

Hmmmm. Is she trying to say something? :nono:

Whoa, whoa, WHOA! What's this? I'm "out there"? Ya know what yer problem is? I've been far too lenient. That's right. Right here, right now, this is for you....:lena:

Anyone else care to say anything while I've got my :lena: armed and ready? :whip:

Addicted2~Jesus - June 23, 2006 07:32 PM (GMT)
Yah! Thats what I was thinkin, some million dollar policy that'll set my faimly up for a good long while, in the.... very unlikely, far fetched event of my death.

What I cain't give em in life I might could in the unlikely premature demise of mysef. It's jes practical an responsible thin to do. I reckon I can jes find one an buy it mysef, but my wife is much better at research then I am.

I did have a policy once, finally dropped it when I found out the conditions of death... this is honest truth, I had to be decapitaed er otherwise missin a body part, be in a non-commercial air craft er boat in er over international waters... AND my body had to be recovered..................... I'd be fish food!! dummies, but if all that happened then they would pay 1 million to my realitve LOL

On a serious note........ Sarah's jes whack! I'll admit though, bein alone an stressed... it does give one time to think, an wit some other issues goin on, I admit I've toyed wit the thoughts a bit, but regardless, I could kill over from a sneeze I jes donno.

Okie Dokie !!!

Very Simple Solution Everyone Will Love..

SARAH, Get the Life Insurance and Make A2J sign a written contract saying he won't off himself, he's a man of his word so if he signs it, he'll keep it.

A2J, Stop being a freaking EMO kid... My life is like a dark abyss, wrapping it's grips tight around me, tight like a pair of my little sisters jeans... which look really good on me by the way
