Title: Need Some Advice On

...filing a lawsuit. As those who actually read my blog know, EAs in Ontario are on strike because the school board refuses to pay them 7 hours of work. The EAs were working 8 hours and being paid for only 6. Hence...the strike.

Ok, now MANY of us parents with special needs kids would LOVE to file for a lawsuit against the school board for discrimination against the minority of the community. I've already printed this out: http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/DBLaws/Statute...ish/90h19_e.htm (thank goodness we just got a new printer last night!) So what's the next step? How do you take it further?

You may even be able to find a lawyer to handle this pro bono. This case could get some lucky lawyer A LOT of attention. As a matter of fact, if I were you, I'd search them out based on this. It's going to be to their advantage. The school board is fighting a losing battle. Don't do anything without consulting an attorney though Lena.

Thanks, guys! I'm gonna be getting in touch with hopefully some other local parents tomorrow and we'll see what's going on...if someone has contacted a lawyer or what. Just pray that we can get this strike over with! We'll give the school board a choice. They can give the EAs their deserved hour, or they can pay lawyer's fees. :P
