State police say Samuel Burgess was ejected from his vehicle when it struck a tree after slamming into the gator on Highway 662 in Bayou Lourse.

Has anyone noticed how thickly the roadkills are out this year? I drove to my mon's a couple of weeks ago and I swear in a 45 minute drive there were like 20 roadkills that I saw, and obviously some that I didn't see. This must be the roadkill breeding season or something..

It's Spring...love is in the air. And unfortunately, I think that means animals behave erratically. I know when deer are rutting they can get really stupid.
