Title: Temper Tantrums.

My ten monthold is already throwing fits! Is this normal? My other two were calm and easygoing, but this one--Man! He really is giving it to us! His little fits only last a few seconds, but they are obviously tantrums. what's the deal?

I think Luke had some fits at a young age, too. I just left him be. He's too small for a swat and was likely just discovering his "emotions". Heck, I remember Isaiah doing this! Just a "tude" thing....I wouldn't be too concerned. Unless something is triggering the tantrum?

Yeah, I think it's ok too. He is too little to correct this. I think at this age they're learning about themselves and the reactions they can get out of us. So ignore it if you want it to stop. Don't laugh, don't let the other kids make a fuss about it either. It'll stop.

I guess so. It usually happens when I tell him "No!".. Like when he is reaching for an electric cord or when I pull away a paper or soemthing he has found on the floor. My other two were not like this. He is a whole new experience. I can already tell he'll be the daredevil type. He is fearless.

String, do you have that book "Bringing Up Boys" by Dr. Dobson? I just got it last week. I only started it, but already feel like I learned something. My boy is a daredevil too (so is his father), so I'm hoping to learn something that will help maintain my sanity.

No, I don't. I think I'll check it out. My two boys are polar opposites. Elijah is emotional and scared of heights. Isaac, although only 10 months old, is outgoing and loves to be swung around, up and down, round and round..

Its going to be interesting to see how they develop sharing a room together..

Don't worry about it 'til he's 40 like me and still throwing temper tantrums. Then you may want to consider that there's a problem...

Clay, actually, this is for all you daddy's of girls, I just got Tommy a book called "She Calls Me Daddy" by Robert Wolgemuth. I heard it was a must read for Daddies of girls.
