Title: Online Women's Bible Study
Description: You in?

I was thinking how Seige said his wife didn't have a bible study to attend and realized it might be true of some of you as well. It should be pretty easy to do an online bible study through this forum. But I don't want to just pick a topic and get into an unstructured debate. I think everyone loses interest too quickly that way. I would like for us to agree upon a book, and then we can all read a chapter a week and open a new thread to discuss that chapter. Of course, if we decide to take longer than a week for a chapter, that's fine too.
What do you think?
If we agree to do this, then we'll create another poll to pick the book. Wow, Jacks is going to be proud of us with all these polls!

I like this idea but how many books would this involve? Could get a little expensive since I don't know anyone who I might could borrow any Christian books off of so I would probably have to buy them all.

Yeah, what book did you have in mind? I've come to quickly notice that Christian books are very expensive.

I would do it, I think if we just started out with one book it would take us long enough....not like we'd be buying books right & left!
Amazon.com always has books you can buy "used" for ALOT cheaper than the new, I usually go that route and have never had a problem....

Well, I think we'll start off with one book and see how it goes. You'd be surprised how long we can spend on one book. I know our weekly bible study took almost a year to do a Joyce Meyer book.
Lena, can you buy from www.cbd.com? I bought my last bible study book ("Captivating") for $10.00 less than Walmart was selling it for. And $12 less than my church's book store had it for.

Well, how about we start with a title...and I can try to find it in the local bookstore early this week. Hubby doesn't like buying anything online for security reasons.. So if I cannot find the book we'll start with in the store, then I'll just "secretly" swoop one online! :D

My mom just gave me Believing God by Beth Moore for my birthday and I need accountability to actually read it. Does that sound good to anyone?

That is so funny, because I just got that book in the mail a couple of days ago. My Tues. a.m. bible study is going to start it in a couple of weeks. I would love to do it online with you ladies as well.
Christian Book Distributors has it for $16.99 plus they have the devotional, journal, and audio book. If you're a member it's even cheaper.
