Title: Baptist Question...

My husband and I are disagreeing on something. He says that the Baptists believe that Once a person is "saved" that God nolonger sees their sins. That He sees them as sinless even though they still sin. I say they do not believe this. I used to be one and don't remember this at all. What do you guys know about this idea?

My husband (a son of a Baptist minister) can't fathom where you husband got such an idea about Baptists. He kept shaking his head and saying it was completely ridiculous. The only thing he can think of is that either your husband heard this from some very odd Baptist sect out there or that he somehow has the Baptist idea of baptism confused with the Catholic idea of baptism washing away Original Sin.

I was raised in 'the Reformed Faith' (which includes Calvinism and infant baptism) and I can imagine if I went to a Baptist baptism back in my Reformed days, listened to what they were saying about baptism and that MAYBE, since I would already think that they are wrong about everything, I might "misunderstand" something the Baptists said to mean what your husband thinks.

Could that be the case with your husband?
