What do you guys think of this?

Many of you have daughters....

Currently, I don't think I have an issue with it....

I'm trying to place my daughter in this situation and I guess I would only advise her of the social condemnation that she would bring on her and her children...

But as long as the guy was a good bro...I don't think I would mind.

Care to jump into this one?

Personally, I don't care about the boy's ancestory. Is he a good person, will he abuse, or harm my daughter. My parents would freak, I think my in-laws would freak. But my daughter is the one that has to wake up the rest of her life with or without the man she loves.

I don't care what race he is he beats my daughter... I have a sword and a shovel.. I can use both failry well....

I don't have guns... that'd be quicker

But back on topic. What does race matter? No for me it's family history addiction / abuse this I would look at and this I would form a basis of prejudice on.

And face it as Daddies to our little girl... IS there really any man out there that oyu feel is worthy of your little girl.... I can't think of a one that's here and living now...

Agree....

but I'm trying to be realistic...

I loath even thinking about having my daughters date...

Her bringing home some trashy scumbag would be unbearable...(pity my FIL, lol)

This topic is one of my gym motivators...

I'm over protective of my nieces too...

Jen who is also my God-daughter, the day I met her ex-husband (long before they got married) my sister explained to him I carry swords in my trunk... kid didn't believe her so I popped my trunk and grabbed my two hander... I think he messed himself....

I'm fine with the idea.

I'm gonna scrub the earth in search of a guy who I feel is good enough for my daughter. Because looking at the way these young guns are acting these days, I see them as nothing but bums and wannabe gangsters.

I just want to make sure that she's happy and that she's respected. If it's a case of IR marriage, I want to make sure that the boy's family is able to accept her and not make her feel like an outcast.

My white sister in law is probably gonna marry her black b/f sometime soon...

kinda neat knowing them pretty well, and seeing the difficulties they face

personally I think it's preference... I don't think someone is a racist for not wanting to marry someone of a different ethnic background

my bro is married to a Japanese gurl... two cute boys...

yeah, GR, I have to agree.

But, one day at work, a black guy and I were discussing prejudice. He was my mentor at work, and was senior to me. He also spoke very rudely with his wife on the telephone. He asked me if I had a problem with that. I told him I'd like to believe that I don't have a problem with race at all. Don't bring it up, and I rarely even see it.

He punctuated that by saying, "What if my son wanted to marry your daughter?" I replied, "As long as he treats her better than you treat your wife, it don't matter."

He was flabbergasted. I was serious, and honestly believe that.
