Title: Couples Massage

Our tenth anniversary is coming up next month. We are going to get a couples massage.
Here's my question: what do you wear for one of those things? Neither of us has ever had a profession massage before. Should I wear shorts and she wear a bikini? You're not completely naked under the sheet are you?

My wife used to get massages all the time in the 5-star hotels her company put her up in. :P
She says that she always wore her bra/shorts and the masseuse was a woman. The only places that will ask you to strip are places you'll find in the prostitution-legal parts of Nevada and other houses of ill-repute (as my mother called them when we lived in southern Nevada :nono: )

I know I would never be naked under those sheets! Yeah, at least wear some shorts!

I think you can do whatever you want. I have friends who strip down for theirs and others who don't. Your wife may want to not wear a top and just undies. I think they're all pretty discreet.

A good friend of ours is a massage therapist who I see every couple of weeks and I always wear underwear but my wife sees her too and she always goes naked underneath the sheet. She says it's very difficult to get a quality massage if you have clothes in the way b/c if you do wear a bra or panties then they will not massage the areas around them and you'll essentially get a low back and shoulder massage instead of the full back. I wear my underwear out of respect for my wife (though she really trusts me and this other lady) but I don't mind that she is naked when she gets one... I wouldn't say that this massage therapist is a "dirty" person who has naughty things in mind...

All of the full-body massages I've had, I've stripped down to my birthday suit. BUT the masseuses were all women, and like Lynn said it was very discreet. They leave the room while you get undressed, then you lie on the table with a sheet over the top of you, neck to mid-calf. They fold up a part of the sheet for the area they're working on. When it's time for you to turn over, they hold the sheet up in front of them, you turn over, then they lay the sheet back down on top of you.
I was never uncomfortable with it, but it's up to the individual person as to how you'd feel about it. I'm sure they'd let you leave on underwear if it would make you more comfortable.
