.... it should be interesting. Since I support the idea of SAHD's, and I was talking to his wife(who set it up) and she said they have a had time finding SAHMs willing to playdate with them.... so here I go! They have one child who is within a month of David's age but I can't remember which side. I hope it goes well....

Keep us informed! :)

hey, it'll be fun, you know David will love it....let us know how it went!!

When? Today?

I think that's awesome! Kudos to both of you.

I've been nervous about stuff like that. <Link to A2J's thread about flirting>

Will it give the wrong impression to my/her neighbors? Will our spouses think there's something that's not there?

I'm in a homeschool PE group at the YMCA. Every month or so, we meet at a family's house for a pizza party. Well, I have been to two womens' houses and nervous the whole time. I stay outside with the kids rather than go inside and give the wrong impression to anyone who may be watching.

Maybe it's just society's impression on me.

We're meeting in a public place.... a park. So hey maybe to people it will look like a chance meeting :dunno:

It went really well! :)

And it was good for the kids.... David fell asleep as soon as we drove away from the park.

So that's cool..... I'm glad I broke out of my comfort zone.

Good to hear! Did you get along well with the dad? Or was it weird?

That's a plus about playing outside....the kids almost ALWAYS take a good nap!

It was good.... no problem at all.

But the nap became an issue because when I got home I tried to transfer him from the car to the crib and then 10 minutes later he was calling for me.... so he took a very short nap and has been crabby all day.

Yeah, man...I hear you...I could NEVER transfer Andie from car to bed without her waking up. Sometimes I'd just drive around for awhile (if she fell asleep in the car), OR I'd find a park somewhere with a nice shady parking spot...& take a nap with her.... :hammock: <-- (I love that smilie!)

if I had it to do over again I would have gone through drive through and gotten some bad for me fatty foods.... but noooo i had to be good and come home to COOK lunch.... what was i thinking?

hes supposed to be napping now, i had enough when he threw the sippy cup at me and was about to throw his bowl of applesauce... i hear himin there "talking" though, so maybe just some quiet time will help him pull it together

oooops....yeah, I guess 6 would be a TAD early for bedtime!!

Yep, try the bath thing, get the routine going....

But be prepared, because whenever Andie is over-tired, she NEVER sleeps well at night....is David like that??
