Title: Stripping...guys & Gals Comments Welcome!
andiesmama - April 8, 2006 02:40 PM (GMT)
Found this in an article in Redbook, (ways to spice up your marriage, or something like that)....
| QUOTE |
Why: Because he really ‑- please, baby, please ‑- wants you to.
How: Visualize yourself strutting your stuff in a way you can be comfortable with, advises Lily Burana, a former stripper and author of Strip City, an account of her farewell take-it-off tour: "Maybe something kittenish, coy and old-fashioned ‑- all feather fans and boas," she says. "Or something bold and crazy, like pole dancing, or more 1930s cabaret." This will help get you in the mood for showtime, and only when you feel sexy, Burana explains, can you act sexy. Attitude trumps attire here, so no need to drop a bundle on that Elizabeth Berkley costume. Instead opt for clothing with easy closures (snaps, not buttons) or no closures, such as a simple sexy slip.
Music is optional; rehearsal is not. "Do a dry run, just you and the mirror, testing out moves," says Burana, like slinking with your arms above your head, slowly twirling, maybe teasingly flashing a little flesh. "Dance for a while, then practice sliding the straps of the slip off your shoulders and pulling it down over your hips or up over your head," she says. "When you feel comfortable with the movements, they start to look good."
Embarrassed? Shy? This will help: "Keep on your feather boa or scarf ‑- which makes a great prop anyway ‑- or your bra or panties," says Burana. "Plenty of strippers have made a mint by holding something back, so it's not just a good psychological comfort, it's a great gimmick!" |
Gals: Have you ever stripped for your hubby? Did you feel ridiculous or sexy? Comments?
Guys: Has your wife ever stripped for you? Did you like it, or were you too shocked to enjoy it? Comments?

Did you practice before, like this article talks about? Or did you just decide one night to do it? Did you feel silly or what? Just jumped in with both feet?
Can you tell I'm thinking about it?? :eyebrows: I just don't want my DH to say "What in the WORLD?????"
clayman - April 8, 2006 04:04 PM (GMT)
We've both done it for each other. I like it. I used to hang out at places to watch women do this. In Texas, they can only take off the tops. In Washington, BOY-HOWDY! 'Course, you gotta get drunk before or after, 'cuz they can't serve booze...
By the way - here's a pic of my favorite blonde pole dancer...

Details, details, details! :tease:
Yeah, I was in "one of those moods" one day and thought/ kinda planned it in my mind and practiced some moves in front of the mirror throughout the day. That evening after some adult beverage and getting hubby all turned on....I just kinda went with the flow, giggly the whole time. He's like....WOOOOW. I didn't feel too silly....we were too distracted for "silliness". :eyebrows:
Is that good enough for ya? B)
andiesmama - April 8, 2006 04:34 PM (GMT)
thanks Lena....hmmm....adult beverage....probably would be beneficial...:wine: B)

Yeah, I'd need to be a little tipsy to do something like that too so it's out for me as well. Not sure doing a strip would be particularly entertaining for my hubby anyways cos we're not much for clothes to begin with so don't have them on to start with

Uh... yeah... erm... I cain't say as I'm all that bothered by it, doesn't do much for me. I've seen some gals strip down to thier stuff an what not an it's rather pointless in my book, you cain't touch em anyways, so they jes git you all bothered an leave ya to it is all. Far as my wife doin it..... hmmmm thinkin bout it.... hmmm well, maybe if'n she jes started wigglin that tail end of ers... yeah I could go for some of that...... but I don't want no stupid piece of cotton that I probly grew blockin my view!
My wife "used" to be somewhat a clothes person... I broke er of that real quick like an in a hurry, clothes are annoyin, but I take comfort in rememberin that under em clothes we're all naked LOL
LynnMcG - April 9, 2006 03:56 PM (GMT)
My self esteem is just way too low to do this. And I don't drink darn it, so how the heck do you get the guts to do this?
seige - April 9, 2006 04:19 PM (GMT)
My wife did it quite a few times when we were first married then she didn't for a few years. This year she ordered Carmen Electra's Aerobic Striptease videos and would practice them when I was in the other room grading papers and such. I was never allowed to watch her practice, nor was I allowed to view the video (which I thought was a really easy way to show her respect!).
Anyhow, come Valentine's day she had this whole night planned out. She felt better about her body then she had in a long time b/c she'd been working out everyday and she felt confident in her... eh... stripping b/c she'd been practicing! I can tell you it was awesome! She was so confident and I was so shocked about how good she was (a little scared that she could make a serious career change!) and it was just awesome.
Ladies, do this for your men! He'll love it and you'll be thinking about it for days beforehand so when the time comes you'll be all "revved up" too!

That's me, too, Lynn....but the whole self-esteem thing is totally in our minds...I KNOW my DH finds me attractive and I'm pretty sure he'd be pleasantly floored if I tried this....I just have to get over my inhibitions....
hmmmm....maybe that'll be one of my goals in this weight-loss thing!!
clayman - April 9, 2006 10:44 PM (GMT)
Guys stories? OK - here ya go. Yeah, I've done it for my wife. Problem is, though I'm a musician, I can't dance. I guess that's why I was in the band.
She laughed.

Well, see, us "Canucks" kinda HAFTA wear clothes, otherwise there's a risk of frostbite. So yeah, we usually make it a habit to wear clothes. In the winter and spring we're still wearing top to bottom jammies...we're not fortunate enough to experience such warm weather that we don't need to wear as much clothing....yanno? So for us, it is a treat to see each other completely naked because we've been "undercover" all day! And to tease each other about it is a bonus! :booyah:

That's why I said, at the right moment. Laughter in bed is great.
See, I'm ticklish...really ticklish. So I have to work through the tickles and the giggles to get through the good stuff. So it's fun.
clayman - April 10, 2006 03:40 PM (GMT)
but isn't tickling different from laughing at performance? Most guys have some sort of performance anxiety, anyway - we wanna make sure our wife is pleased. Laughter just enhances the anxiety...
But, if the need is intense enough, any guy can overcome the anxiety. :eyebrows:

Guess it just depends if you're laughing at or with someone. Hubby and I have had a few giggles over some mishaps in the bedroom which is all in fun. I'm sure your wife wasn't laughing AT you.

You guys are driving me NUTS! I think we all got the memo that you don't like to wear clothes a few months ago.
The reason we wear clothes is because unlike you, we have THREE munchkins. They all have different clockwork and we never know which one will need us during the night. So instead of fumbling for pants or top or something during the night, we WEAR our pajamas. Sorry if it violates your rules, but them's the rules around here. :cheeky: :gotcha:

I'm just teasing.
No, I don't usually sleep in the nude. I say usually because I woke up at 2am this morning realizing that I hadn't put my pj's back on. :|
But in regards to the weather thing, I don't find that it's too cold to throw off the pj's once in a while. But our homes may be heated differently.
I have never stripped for Mrs. R. Everytime I try to dance for her, she laughs and accuses me of having no rhythm, which her and her mom simply do out of habit. I could drop the hottest moves in front of them and they'd still say that, just in an effort to keep me from feeling good about myself.
I've never received a strip show either. Mrs. Redguard has too many issues with her body. We can hardly ever get to the lovin' without her turning off the lights, or hiding under the blanket.
Nothing that I say seems to help that. I tried talking to her about it last night and she said that if she were me, she wouldn't want to see herself.
Honey - April 10, 2006 08:08 PM (GMT)
Mrs. Redguard needs to join our fitness competition. B)
