Title: Firming Lotion

Honey - April 4, 2006 05:04 PM (GMT)
Do you ladies use firming lotion? Anyone know of a good brand?

I have used St. Ives Firming Lotion, but can't seem to find it anywhere. Odd, especially for this time of year. I'm thinking of getting the new Olay firming lotion. Anyone tried that yet? Any good results?

Yanno, if ya use it on a couple certain "spots"...it really imroves *ahem* performances. :eyebrows:

I can't picture "spots" you'd use it to improve "performances"....on us women? Or on our DH?

As for your question, I've never used it....is it like face cream? Or to put over my entire body, because if it IS, then I'm buying a vat of it to bathe in....

Fine, I'll be blunt. You massage it into your BOOBS! :bounce:

It's supposed to firm up the tummy, too. Hmmmm. Not in my case.

I believe Dove has a facial firming lotion, too. Gotta at least try it out. I'm not vain, just trying to boost my motivation to work out. :tease:

You need firming cream, I've go firming cream - butts, bellys and boobs!

Seriously, I use Avon's Clinical firming cream on my butt and tummy. And I did use their bust firming cream for a while, but then I just forgot to! They both definately work. My husband assures me.

I'm waiting to get my order today, but I think there's a new firming cream Avon is about to introduce. I'll check out the literature and let you know later.

Hey, did you guys know that you can buy creams like this from CCB Paris that contain ingredients you cannot get in the U.S. Of course, this doesn't apply to Lena since you're a Cannuck. But if you read the labels on this stuff some of it is incredibly powerful. Like if you're pregnant or think you might be, you shouldn't rub it on your tummy. How scary is that?!

andiesmama - April 5, 2006 01:16 PM (GMT)
That's weird....like, I'd be scared to use something that you can't use while pregnant....I think...

Wow, glowing recs from 2 sisters about the perks (pun intended B) ) of firming creams...Lynn, let us know what that literature says, I might try it out.

On another note....I've been thinking about your "beauty tips" sticky....thinking maybe we should put it in the "hang out" section, since MAYBE guys would be interested in asking some questions...

Title something like "Your Personal Skin Care and Beauty Advisor Is In"....

That's great Deb! Should I do it or you?

andiesmama - April 5, 2006 01:29 PM (GMT)
Why don't you start a thread over there with whatever you want to say as an intro about it, then when you're done I'll sticky it....

ok!

Thanks!

I went and bought Nivea's Firming lotion. It was cheap, 6 bucks. Now we wait for the results!

I'll check out the CANADIAN Avon website ( ) and see about the firming cream there. :P

LynnMcG - April 7, 2006 04:44 PM (GMT)
OK, I started using Avon's anticelulite and stretch mark cream last night. It's awesome! It feels all tingly for about 10 minutes after you put it on. It says your skin instantly feels tighter, but over time it reduces celulite and stretch marks (even old ones). That's what I'm looking for!

Lena, for best results, use that firming cream twice a day. Use it right after your shower so your skin sucks it up. Let us know if it works.

Hey! I didn't know they had that! Is it where I can check it out on your Avon website? Might be something I'm interested in....

They used to have a similar product, but this is new and won't be launching for a few more weeks. They give us an advance preview sometimes so we can check it out, use it, and be able to make a more informed recomendation to our customers. I'll let you know how it's working over the next two weeks.

 Yeah, I'd like to hear what you think, if it's worth the $$$

Thanks for the linkies, Debster...one small problem, tho....they're in America! I'm the Canuck! I'd have to pay double the price by the time it gets here :tease:....Don't worry, I'm still on the lookout in the local stores around here. :P

Lena, check your Canadian Avon reps. Avon has awesome bust cream. It works the first time you use it. Really!

I'm going to find out if I can legally get it to you. I'll let you know.
