B) I've been thinking about it as well....windows, getting up & cleaning off the plant shelves, washing the curtains....
Cleaning isn't my most favorite thing in the world, but I love the look of the house when it's all done!!

LOL, Deb! The weather has warmed up so nicely that I hung up my very first load of laundry outside today without freezing! :booyah: God sure answered my prayers! :D
Honey - March 27, 2006 04:54 PM (GMT)
Oh, and I've got the bathroom all shinied up. Now to boogy it into the kitchen and do ALL the cupboards.....:puke:

geez woman, you're making me tired! I feel pretty safe not doing a WHOLE lot of spring cleaning, since when we moved in here just last October I cleaned the whole house top to bottom really well....the people that lived here before us did NOT do a great job keeping the place clean...
Methinks alot of it can wait until fall cleaning....

I have to clean now. I'm preparing to paint hopefully next month. Our walls are pathetic! I'm clearing pics off and putting away nicknacks and my precious candles until painting is all done. Then we plan on working on another room and doing some rearranging. We'll see.
Fall cleaning I don't do very thoroughly. Just the basics. B)

Uh, fall cleaning? I feel so out of place...I've heard of spring cleaning though...I guess that's a start!
Honey - March 28, 2006 12:47 AM (GMT)
Yes, fall cleaning! C'mon Sarah! Get with the program!
I feel SO tuckered out now! I didn't quite get ALL the kitchen cupboards done, so I'll finish those up tomorrow. Then I've gotta do the upstairs. I got alot done today, though. Luke & Candace spent most of the day outside so that helped keep them out from under my feet. Both go off to school tomorrow so I SHOULD be able to get more accomplished....if I don't get too lazy! :P
Well, I'm off to get me some wine. :wine: Then to put the kids to bed, then myself. Definitely going to bed early! Gotta work early in the morning! :D

I can't wait to do my windows. I have those kind that you click open and they tilt in so you can wash them. That's my favorite part of spring cleaning. I do the windows, wash the woodwork with Murphy's oil soap, and wash the curtains. It's like getting a whole new, clean perspective. And I need to buy some clothes pins so I can get laundry out on the clothes line. It's going to be in the 50s-60s all week. yippee! Spring is FINALLY here.
Honey - March 28, 2006 03:33 PM (GMT)
I'm gonna wait with the windows until it warms up just a wee bit more. We have no sunshine today and it makes a big difference. :( I just need to finish up the kitchen cupboards, then make my way upstairs. And my time is limited....(looks at clock :yikes: )
LynnMcG - March 28, 2006 10:21 PM (GMT)
I'm inspired Lena. I think I'll get started on this next week. I'd start this week, but I'm spending most of my time running around taking care of Sean. I need to wait until he's feeling better and is a little more independant.
Thanks!

Gooood! I inspired at least one person today! :bounce: On top of my own, I'm gonna help a friend with hers tomorrow. Man, do I really feel it, tho. I haven't been exercising and my body's going OOOWWW. Especially my feet. I figure if I can get the work done this week, then next week is pampering myself week. :D
Honey - March 29, 2006 04:06 PM (GMT)
Ugh. I didn't get to go help my friend. Turns out I came down with another yeast infection. :( I was chugging down the coffee, tea and hot chocolate again this week to give me that "boost" of energy....WRONG move. Should not have done that. I'm pretty sure this yeast infection is just a Candida infection and not bacterial. Candida infection is more of a baking bread odour....Sorry if TMI! and bacterial is more that funky, fishy odour. I need to cut down on sugar! I figure, if I can really cut down on the sugar and monitor myself for a month....if it gets better, I know I'm doing something right. If not, I'm off to the doc. When I was preggers with Candace, doc said I had a "risk" of gestational diabetes....hmmmm.
Anyhoo....I'm still cleaning. I can't do as thorough a job as originally planned because my vacuum cleaner is busted and my mop is in a sad condition and really needs to be replaced. I don't wanna get down on my hands and knees because that can hurt after too long of a time. So, since Candace is home today, we'll go outside since it's VERY gorgeous again....:D and trim the lilac bushes and the wild rose bushes. Once I feel a better, I'll be out raking the yard! :bounce: B) I can't wait.

I've been doing some research and no, you can't really grow lilacs in Florida. It's just too dang hot!
Sad thing about lilacs is that they only last 5 weeks at the most. This spring I'll be sure to take pics of ours. They're so gorgeous when they're in full bloom!
