Title: Shopping For Spouse

Do you let your spouse shop for clothes for you?

I was flipping through the Sears catalogue and found some nice dress pants for hubby and pointed them out to him. Told him I'm gonna get him some. He flips out! His dress pants are PATHETIC! I'm almost embarrassed every time he wears them anymore. He does not get rid of any clothing until it's literally falling apart at the seams! He figures they're still "good enough". Good enough for the rag box, says I.

I've gotten him down to saying he'll buy his own. I've warned him that they'd BETTER be good or I WILL order these. MEN!

The way we usually shop for clothes for each other is we flip through the catalogs we get in the mail (like Cabela's, Lands End, etc), pick out stuff we like & colors & sizes....then there's no question! B)

I go shopping with my DH. He asks me to go, so I can help him and check out his rear when he buys pants. Otherwise I'll buy him shirts, socks, or underwear myself. He never buys me clothes. I think he's afraid to try! That's ok. Gift cards are just fine with me.

It was quite a delight for me when I bought clothes for my husband (without him with me), brought them home and they both fit and he liked them!

I think the fit of women's clothing is a little harder to predict so we're tougher to buy for.

My husband has no problems me buying his casual clothes for him. His suits, that's up to him.

As for clothes, I do my own. He won't even attempt that because he knows how picky I am. That's an unspoken agreement.

I'm not buying anymore clothes until I give away what I have, when I get to thin for them. heeheee

I realized long ago that color-blindness means not being able to dress myself. So, throughout most of my adult life, I've had a girlfriend or a friend of the opposite gender whom I could trust, with whom I could shop. I tell them, "Pick out a shirt and a pair of pants. They will always stay together, so I can easily pick out a matching pair.

My wife neatly fills that need today (Thank God! I don't want any other women in my life!). She shops with me, lets me pick out what I want and helps me match it. That way, I don't get messed up.

Yeah - when I dress the girls, I get strange looks...

Well there is no shopping off the shelf for me.....

Misty will flip through my Big and Fat catalogs and find something she likes then ask me if I like it...

I just pick stuff out for her and make sure I got her size right, Usually I get the shirts extra big because she likes baggy shirts....

If she doesn't shop for me...then I will just keep wearing the Jeans & Harley t-shirts.

She knows wut I like. She also knows I am cheap. :)
