Title: Backache
andiesmama - March 15, 2006 01:51 PM (GMT)
I get HORRIBLE backaches when I'm ovulating....is that weird?? It almost feels like a kidney infection (if you've ever had one of those)....for 3 days off & on, then it's fine. During my period, I don't get cramps or anything....
bleah, isn't it great to be a woman??

Oh yes, such a joy! LOL
Though I wouldn't trade it. It's worth putting up with all the "female plumbing" stuff just to have the experience of having our babies.

Yeah, I used to get that sort of backache before and at the beginning of my period too. They stopped when I went on the pill and haven't come back since I went off.
Not fun.

I don't think I get backaches during ovulating. I get mild cramps, but no backaches.

I sort of have a low grade backache right now, despite my yoga stretches. Plus, I think it's from all the sitting I've been doing. Hope I don't get my period while I'm on the flight back home from Tampa.
I know I have to even better about my diet during this, keep stress low, do a lot of stretching, get a chiropractic adjustment.
Though, I'm wondering if there were accupressure points to alleviate this and put my body back into balance during this timeframe. There probably are, but I don't know this.
I read somewhere that for contractions during childbirth, if you squeeze the big toe, this helps with the contractions. I wonder if it will help me with my backache. I'll try it.

Hmmm, you know when I was in labor with Sarah I had all back labor.
So it doesn't surprise me that we can get backaches during ovulation.
