Title: Waxing

mdolls68 - February 21, 2006 11:40 PM (GMT)
I just got my first Brazilian wax today. OWWWW!!! Parts of it weren't too bad, but some parts were way OWWWW!!! It's a very clean look. She said after the first few times, it'll hurt less, especially if I do it on a regular basis. Just practicing for when I can wear a bikini.

I don't envy you one bit!!!

Just reading about it makes me feel faint.....

oh geez.....I started a thread on Brazilian Waxes awhile back....it was the first I'd heard of them....I don't think that I could stand the pain!

How bad was it REALLY??? :unsure:

OUCH. I've waxed my legs and I don't want to think about waxing everything...
Though if it didn't hurt I would certainly do it. That would save a lot of time.

I'll leave the wax to the BEES! No way am I EVER gonna do that. Congrats to you, tho! *we need a fainting smilie*

The outer edges weren't too bad, but the middle was VERY OWWWW!!! I always did the shaving thing, but this really gives a much cleaner look and looks a lot better than my shaving, and will last a lot longer.

I'll do it again. It took about an hr to do and she had to do tweezing. She (Courtney) said the more often you do it, your hair will grow in finer and the waxing should take much less time, like 15-20 min, and be less painful.

I gave birth to my 2 children without any pain meds, so perhaps my pain tolerance is fairly high. It did hurt. I don't want to lie about this and say it's not. I did not scream or shout. Courtney said she was surprised I was handling it as well as I did. Most first-timers squirm more. The byproduct is worth it to me, so far. I'll let you know the next time I get it done.

Yes, Debby, I remember you had a thread on this but I couldn't find it, so I started another one.

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most painful.

10 = childbirth
9 = Really bad food poisoning
8 = root canal
7 = Brazilian Wax

So brazillian is everything huh... I don't think I would be into that... but if I had a place that did it nearby, some extra cash, and a babysitter.... I'd get my legs and some of "the main event" waxed. I just wouldn't want it *all* gone.... I already shave half

Ouch.

I give you credit Doris. I think I would just be much to shy to even try that.

Today I'm feeling a little raw and sensitive there, but in a few days, I'm thinking I'll be fine. It feels strange, but not too bad.

The woman waxing me did not make me feel uncomfortable at all. We were talking about all sorts of things, so it made it less intimidating.

I'm just trying all sorts of new things.... :tease:

I've had root canals before. Are you sure its less pain than a root canal?

Honey - February 22, 2006 04:18 PM (GMT)
I can't imagine comparing a Brazilian wax to childbirth! At least childbirth is natural. :P I've had 2 root canals. Only thing I haven't had is food poisoning. :dunno:

I had a kidney stome two weeks after having a c-section--that was horrible. Surely the pain couldn't be that bad. I imagine the pain is very breif. Does it linger long?? If not, then maybe it wouldn't be so bad...

Okay -- some questions answered.

It's been 2.5 days since I got the Brazilian. For the most part, everything is very clean and smooth. The actual pain was during the waxing. It was sensitive for about the next 24 hrs or so.

Henry said it will take some getting used to, but he seemed perfectly fine with it and very "frisky" in the middle of last night. That's the only time I don't mind missing some sleep for hot, passionate lovemaking.

It's certainly a new feeling.

Yes, String, it's less painful than a root canal. Though, the anticipation of what it's going to feel like after the hot wax is put on you can be a bit unnerving.

We'll see how the hair grows back in terms of fineness, thickness, and how quickly. I'm going to schedule like the aesthetician said for 4 weeks. The thing I like about this is not having to shave or worry about nicking myself (that's happened). Somehow bleeding and that blood scab afterwards isn't too appealing and hinders lovemaking.

I'm looking forward to being able to be in a bathing suit and not have to worry about any strays or anything.
