I know this is not an "interesting" topic at all, but I am so irritated at these things!

So I put out some food for my little squirrel guys, and these crazy raccoons keep stealing it and making a complete mess!!! Is there any way to get rid of them? I am not opposed to shooting them at all, but I dont think my neighbors nor the county would care for that. Even if I don't put out the food they still come up!! Argh@!!!

You can trap them. Either live traps (which can be problematic, raccons are kind of mean) or other traps, as long as you're willing to finish them off.
Does your county have a problem with people killing raccoons?

I am sure if I brought out my .22 and started firing in the back yard, I would get some curious looks hehe. But no doubt, I wouldnt approach one without a gun.

I do live in the city if you can imagine that. So, I am thinking I am just stuck with the situation.

Don't know about keeping the raccoons away (we live in the country so know the problem), but as for feeding the squirrels, don't they make squirrel feeders? I'll google it & see what I can find.....

Maybe you could call animal control & see if they have any tips about keeping the raccoons away....

DON'T FEED THE SQUIRRELS!! Oh my gosh, you're going to cause yourself the biggest problems feeding squirrels. You have to stop now.

Squirrels live in the sophet of the house across the street and they've become so used to being around people that they're aggressive. If I put my garbage on my porch while I'm cleaning, I can just about guarantee the squirrels will come up and rip the garbage apart before I can get it down to the garage. Well, more than once I've gone out to shoo the squirrels and they've gone after me. They got to be such a problem my husband had to shoot them. I was afraid they'd go after the kids while they were playing in the yard.

If you call animal control they're going to flip out when they find out you're feeding wild animals. That's a HUGE no no for them.

You have GOT to be kidding me?! I have never in my life heard of an attacking squirrel!!! Here I am thinking they are all sweet and innocent!!!

Ok, so I can put a stop to the food distributions. However. The dang raccoons are now digging under my gate to get the trash! There was a McDonald's bag in my yard this morning!

Thanks for the heads up. I am gonna give animal control a call, although, I am sure it will be fuitless.
