Title: You Guys Are Not Going To Believe This
LynnMcG - February 17, 2006 12:39 AM (GMT)
We had an earthquake! In Northwest New Jersey! We had an earthquake.
My husband and I were in the bedroom, Sean was playing in the living room and Sarah was in the bathtub when the house began to shake. We live a house away from a two-lane highway. So when it first started, for the first second, I thought it was a dump truck going down the hill. But it didn't stop. The tv swayed on the dresser and my husband ran over and pushed it back, before it fell. My son panicked. My daughter was ok, until she realized what happend then she lost it.
The whole neighborhood came out of the homes and were hanging out on the street talking. I called the police, they said they believed it was an earthquake. I'm searching EVERYWHERE and can't find anything about it on the internet or tv. I went to the USGS website and reported it, because they had no record of it on their site.
I can tell you, after having lived in Southern California, that was the biggest earthquake I'd ever felt! The scary thing, is that a couple parents were talking about feeling an earthquake in the middle of the night on Monday or Tuesday. I didn't feel that, but then I was taking night time cold medicine so I slept like a rock this week.
I'm a little freaked out...

That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an aeroplane -
Lenny Bruce is not afraid. Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn -
world serves its own needs, don't misserve your own needs. Feed it up a knock,
speed, grunt no, strength no. Ladder structure clatter with fear of height,
down height. Wire in a fire, represent the seven games in a government for
hire and a combat site. Left her, wasn't coming in a hurry with the furies
breathing down your neck. Team by team reporters baffled, trump, tethered
crop. Look at that low plane! Fine then. Uh oh, overflow, population,
common group, but it'll do. Save yourself, serve yourself. World serves its
own needs, listen to your heart bleed. Tell me with the rapture and the
reverent in the right - right. You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright
light, feeling pretty psyched.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

OK....let me rephrase that.
My husband was at the computer and I was folding laundry (white wash, and you know how I am about that) in the bedroom, when the earthquake occured.
The newspaper said there were several aftershocks that were also felt, but I'm not so sure we felt them. I was SO jumpy all night.
