What do you think about beards? (or breads? ;) ) Do you like your man to have one? What about length? Or thickness? Or doyou like to see what's hiding behind that hairy critter?

I don't grow mine.

Babyface.

Us of scandanavian descent don't grow good beards. And, the older I get, the less attractive I think they look. Mine's scant, curly and short.

And, my wife doesn't like 'em either!

I think some guys look good with short (very short) beards.
Chad can't grow one, so it's a mute point at our house :)

Edited to add: I must be really really not here...I can't believe I mixed up "moot" and "mute" :haha:

not a thick bushy beard ....Ty's usually clean-shaven, but every now & then he'll grow a "flavor saver" (like Lynn's DH)....it's ok, but I think I like him clean better...

Abe's tried to grow one...he looks ridiculous because it doesn't work.

My DH has grown a beard in the past. It grows in nice, but I don't care for it on him. Plus, I don't like to make out with him with a beard and moustache. It just hurts too much. So if it has an affect on kisses, he's shaving! No further questions.

I generally prefer men without beards but I really like hubby with one. Every now and then I'll ask him to shave it off so I can see his handsome face underneath but I generally prefer him with one. I don't care for those foot long beards but I like when hubby had a full one cos it's soft. He has no problem at all growing them so to be clean shaven he'd have to shave 5 times a day LOL Talk about sand paper!

My husband has had a gotee, and I thought he looked cute but one day I complained it was weird to kiss and the next day it was gone :whip: I don't mind a gotee though, as long as its short, but a beard wouldn't be attractive to me. I really like the baby face look. B)

That's why my hubby hates not having a beard - he thinks he looks baby faced. I do think hubby's beard makes him look at bit more distinguished but I think he looks handsome either way.

I usually have a goatee...not sure if I spelled that right or not.

By the way....I'm back.....LOL...I lost my internet connection for a while but I am back.

When in my last career I'd grow a beard off station because... well I wasn't trying to impress anyone. About a year before we got married I went for 3 weeks and really hit the gym and went running everyday. It was in San Diego and I ran shirtless so I tanned a bunch and I decided to trim up the beard and leave it. When I walked off the plane my wife's jaw dropped- she was stunned. We'd been together before I could grow a full beard so she was all wierded out but also thought it was great... I've been with some form of beard ever since! (About 5 years and I'm a little scared to shave it all off... what if I've grown really ugly underneath?!)

Hubby wears a gotee and clean shaven. I prefer the gotee because he looks so rugged ;) He has never grown a beard.

Welcome back Bama. Making me homesick :(

I wear a fairly neatly trimmed van dyke..... or what most people wrongly call a goatee....

Misty freaks when I shave it or trim it too far....

Also when I shave clean I look about 15 years younger.....

Best friend has same problem...

Hubby has a 'I'm in graduate school and cannot be troubled with mundane activities like shaving' Brad Pitt-esque, full-facial fuzz going. I tolerate it, but I tickles me when I kiss him. I draw the line when the whiskers start poking me up the nose.
