I've got an extremely busy week. I will likely not be on very much. But, I know how concerned y'all get when someone drops off line...
Anyway - I'll be back soon. Till then, :poop:

Squat wants to set up a play date, Clay. You better let him before he has a fit....

That's pretty much what my brothers told me when I was 5.
Honey - February 3, 2006 02:42 PM (GMT)
Maybe that's why we never had Ken dolls in the house.....
clayman - February 6, 2006 11:45 AM (GMT)
:haha:
I'm back.
Yeah, I've got my doubts about Ken's preferences as well. I never enjoyed playing with any dolls (yeah, they're not action figures, they're dolls). I had a toy machine gun that clicked when you pulled the trigger (and I never shot up my school)! That was my favorite toy.
Well, last week was a busy one. My folks sold their two-story townhouse and moved to a one-story rent house. At least now they have their own driveway. Rude neighbors will no longer block them in or out of their garage. :violin: When we were moving, there was no internet connection at the new house. 'Sides, I didn't have time between lessons and lifting heavy boxes.
I was very proud, though, about a few things:
- One of my mom's friends who helped her unpack and get settled was my 8th grade English teacher. I had set up Nichole with lessons over there, and Ms. Jennings jumped to help. She told me later that she was amazed that a six-year-old (well, 7 on February 16) had such good grammar and could read so well. She's reading at a third-grade level.
- Nichole was talking with Ms. Jennings and my dad came in and started talking. Nichole knows it's rude to interrupt, so - without turning or even stopping talking - she snapped her fingers and held up her hand at my dad. We were :rolf: !
- Kristen stayed up all night helping us move furniture. We would hand her small stuff and tell her where to put it. "Here, put this by the fireplace." She said, "Fireplace. Yes."
- Friday night we went out for Mexican food. Kristen got a chip full of some rather hot salsa. I saw it but wasn't really paying attention. By this time, my body was so tired my brain just didn't work. Her eyes got really big and she started breathing hard. She didn't cry. I told her to take a drink, which she did, then she got another chip and dove into the hot salsa again. That's my girl!
That's last week for ya. I'm back, so watch out!

Glad you're back....sounds like you had an interesting week! And got some good exercise in moving those heavy boxes!! :booyah:
