Do you guys watch 'em? NOT to say you go out LOOKING for movies/shows that have nudity and/or scantily clad people in them, but will you pass on a movie if you know there's that "stuff" in it?

And I'm not talking about porn here....I'm talking about in the normal course of a movie, they show things like that...

(ex: we watched Mr & Mrs Smith last night :thumbsup: and Angelina was at one point strolling around in her underwear while getting dressed)

Stuff like that....

To be honest, we've never deterred ourselves from watching a movie if it had a presense of nudity or violence.

We'll identify if we believe it has an excess of one or the other, but we can basically treat it for what it's worth.

I'd prefer there not be nudity. People in their underwear don't bother me, but if they're nude it does. However, if the movie would be made less without it (for example, in "Schindler's List," where it is meant to be disturbing) then I understand why it's there.
Excess violence bothers me way more than excess nudity. I usually walk out of the room during violent scenes, so if there's too much there just isn't a point to getting the movie. I couldn't watch the "Passion of the Christ" at all.

My hubby sees NO naked flesh! I've got my blindfold ready and waiting when we're watching a new movie...Now me, well, hey...I don't need no blindfold...j/k!

We don't go looking for nudity in movies, either. Now like Mandy mentioned Schindler's List... that's based on a true story and all that happened was for real and yes, it is disturbing. Then again, war usually is. But when there's naked people running around just to be stupid, don't care much for those movies. Haven't seen the Smith movie yet.

It's strange... I saw this movie in the theater and I don't even remember that part.

The story is what matters.

If the nudity is there as a selling point (say Basic Instint) then that is probably one to skip. However, if the nudity is just part of a much larger story (Titantic) then there isn't any problem.

It was near the beginning, she was getting dressed in their bedroom & they were both talking about their day....not so much "running around"....but that didn't bother me, because it's just like any married couple, talking & stuff while getting dressed to go to work...

I agree with this. We will watch a movie if these things are present so long as that's not what the whole movie is about. For example... the movie that I can't remember the name of.... oh yes! Eurotrip. I made the mistake of watching that. It has NO plot, its all about naked people and grotesque jokes. I don't need that crap around. I want a plot and something that makes me think, or at least DECENT humor. I think I am better at picking now. :thumbsup:

You should see 40 Year Old Virgin. It's a great story with a great lesson.

I need to vent my frustrations over certain individuals. It really bugs me when a person who has been married for one year and is a female says what all men are thinking and how they allllll struggle, even minister, blah blah blah. Who the heck is she???

All men don't strugge? Even ministers? I mean, I would think that is a somewhat true statement. Now, not EVERY man struggles with it - but I would say.....90% would be a fairly accurate. :)

It was just the whole blatant context of the thing....

I like to avoid really bad ones... my wife rented a Horrible movie a while ago.. i forget what it was called, it was about some stupid kids in beverly hills that went to hang out in the ghetto and ending up hanging out with some gang members or something...

Well one scene came where one gurl was suppose to have sex with three gang members in order to be in the gang and the main character gurl had to sleep with one gang member (they rolled dice) It made me sick to my stomach... I shut the movie off, i was in a bad mood the rest of the day...

But for the most Part Heather and I take it in stride... We have an ongoing joke, whenever we are watching the movie and in the begining they show that there is "Partial Nudity" in the movie... I always look at her and say sarcastically "GREAT!!!! you know what that means, Some guys butt!!" And 90% of the times it's true... some dude has to show his butt on the film... I will not watch any movie with any Baldwin in it, anymore!!

I like to say i'm not "Tempted" or that I don't "Struggle" Most of the time if there is female nudity on the screen it's some gurls boobs... Most of the time I immediately compare them to Heathers. And Heather is in a Really good Spot becuase 90% of the onscreen boobies are smaller than Heathers. And the other 10% are ussually Circus Boobies that are the size of basketballs and are just friggin ridiculous. That's really not attractive at all.

Also I really only watch movies with my wife... and if either of us is offended than we turn it off.... Unless heather is offended becuase the movie is so Lamely dumb with lots of stupid humor she doesn't find funny but I am gasping for air on the floor from laughing so much... We aren't going to pull out a porno and watch it, but most of the other stuff we take with a grain of salt. I agree with what others have said, if it is excessive with no plot, both of us would get so bored so quickly that we would turn it off. But if the movie itself is good and we enjoy it, we aren't going to turn it off because someone went streakin' in front of the camera. :dunno:
