Oh yeah! Tons! If it's not meat, potatoes and beans then my hubby can't stand it :haha: One thing I've been having a craving for lately that I know my hubby won't like is gnocchi. I used to love that stuff when I was living in Italy and I'm thinking about figuring out how to make it LOL
clayman - December 1, 2005 05:29 AM (GMT)
You must be from Texas, right?

Actually I'm from London, England but moved to Texas 4.5 years ago when I married my husband. We're about 300 miles away from Houston, about 60 miles north of Brownsville in the tip of Texas :)

Besides, I read about a slogan contest for New Jersey. Seems the locals don't care for it much.
One was something about "Don't worry. When the slick washes away only the clean will be left."
I've never been north of DC or east of Ohio, so I can't speak from personal experience. But from what I've heard about Jersey -- well...

So, is Yorkshire Pudding what I think it is? Is that the yucky stuff made with blood and internal organs? Or is that something else?

LOL Black pudding is made with blood. Are you think about haggis for internal organs? Yorkshire pudding is just like unsweet pancake batter. You usually have it with Sunday dinner and most people pour gravey over it. It's the two round circles on the bottom left.

messy or tidy?
sponaneuos or planned?
morning or night?
introvert or extrovert?
Sarah - December 4, 2005 01:59 AM (GMT)
Messy, though I wish I was tidy!
QUOTE
sponaneuos or planned?
Both I think. Sometimes I fly by the seat of my pants and some times I like to have things planned.
Night. I'm not a morning person though when I do get up early I like how much more time I have to do things throughout the day.
QUOTE
introvert or extrovert?
Introvert. I'm not a very outgoing person.
mdolls68 - December 5, 2005 02:04 PM (GMT)

When I left home I came to the US as an au pair. As part of the visa requirements you had to take so many hours at a college so I decided to take a class in Italian cos I thought it sounded like a pretty language. When my year in the US was over I went back to England but didn't know what I wanted to do. I decided that I'd like to learn more Italian so I found a job as an au pair in Padova, Italy (near Venice). I was there for 8 months and really enjoyed it but left there to move to Texas to marry my hubby :)

I couldn't help but notice that we have some divergent pudding philosophies. If you could recommend only one type of Itallian pudding for FHL members, what would it be and why?
