So Andie's finishing up her lunch today, and all of a sudden she tells me "Oh mommy I'm tired!" :blink:

I'm thinking it's just an excuse to get down from the table (she ate most of her lunch but not quite all of it), so I'm like, "OK, let's go get you ready for your nap!"

No protests...we went potty, only read ONE story (normally two), I sung to her and she rolled right over & fell asleep....no sounds of playing or anything coming from her room....

I think she's getting sick.... B)

Way to go, Andie! Maybe just a little break was all she needed?

Wow--makes me sound like a bad mom- I never read books and sing for naps.. I just have them lay down and cover them up.. :(

Oooooh.... I wonder if she is old enough to always decide if she needs a nap? I don't know really, but its a thought. Maybe some days she'll be tired and other days not....

I don't read books or sing for naps either.... but I do those things other times...

:hug: It's whatever works for you & yours! I think Andie's just used to it because that's the bedtime routine...and sometimes naptimes are such a struggle that I do it then, too....so she'll be in the "sleep not play" frame of mind...

I used to read more books, but now that I hve three..it seems quite a chore sometimes. I don't read as often as I should...again..Shame on me..
