Title: Kids Can Be So Cute
Description: *sigh*

I'm standing in the kitchen opening a bag of crunchy cheese doodles (which I never buy, because I love them. I'm also wondering what was I thinking) for my son when my daughter asks me if I like them. I said yes I do, but I'm not eating them. She asks why. And I explain that I'm trying hard to lose weight and these will not help. And she says "you should." And I said, "I should what?" And she said, "You should lose weight."

OK, so I know she's a kid. She loves me no matter what. But what exactly is she getting at, I'm wondering. So I asked her.

"what do you mean?"
"You should lose weight...just a little." she said
"Why do you think Mommy should lose weight?" I asked
"because, you're like this (and she takes her hands and places them on my hips) and I'm like this" (and she takes her darling little hands and places them 3" apart in front of me).

OK, she's skinny, but she is NOT 3" wide!! :box:

So, I poured Sean's snack into a bowl. But them away. And came here to whine. Now I'm off to ride my bike.

:bored:

Yeah, kids can be direct...for sure! Take mine, for example. Me, I'm chugging on my ET (elliptical trainer) Luke comes up and says, "Mom, why are you doing that?" I say, "Well, I want to be healthier and I really need the exercise and I need to lose some stomach fat." Then he says, "Yeah, you do have a fat stomach." I'm like, "Yep, even though mommy's tummy held all you guys as babies...she still needs to lose the fat!" So he goes on his merry way. Me, I don't let it get to me. I'm trying to teach honesty and that's better than them trying to make up lies just to make me feel better. Actually, I like it that they notice...it motivates me! :)

Only ONE person cannot make such comments...yep, the hub. He does and he's in the d-house.

Oh I know, I deffinately don't take it personally. It's just so funny. I mean, they can be SO brutal!

Now, if my DH were that honest, he'd be sleeping on the couch.
